The dark period is when the flowering hormones build up, which is the theory behind an extra 24 to 48 hour dark period. Cold locks the K up. Induces purple. Pointless. Still don't know why people pay for a color you get nothing from. And I harvest in the evening out doors or at lights on indoors.

I think you got a cat hair in there lol.

I just got the GG4 clone back again, so I'll have something to compare against in about 12 or 13 weeks.

Indoors and it is angora. Out doors it is siberian. Cost of security. I remove them under a large magnifying glass. Singed hair. Yuck.
 
I know I'm gonna get shit for this, but if he wants to bring out more purple in the leaves he could give the plant colder water so it has a hard time consuming P.

I'm not recommending this. But that's the only Bro-Logic in this thread that makes any sense. That's an oxymoron though.

Who cares? If people pay more for a purple ice flush, grab me a couple packs of ice just before harvest! I've never done the ice water flush myself, I have strains that purple up just fine on the regular. I have done the lights off thing tho, and can't say it it did anything or not, but the weed was great either way. Lights off thing is only possible if you monocrop tho, and harvest all at once. I usually do multi strains lately, but if monocropping I will just ski one lights on cycle, so it's getting like 24 to 36 hrs of dark before the chop (depending on the time of day I chop) vs 12 hours of dark by harvesting at first daylight.

At any rate, I would never harvest at the end (or anytime past the middle) of a lights on cycle. That's like a sacrilege to me.

What happened to the round table? I thought I was going to get to wear my Sunday best socks. You know. The holey ones. And I think it would be drool fest. I'm sure others blow my goodies out of the water. And I have some some sit down and drool concentrates from that hash. LOL.
