Cheers bro. I will be harvesting in 2 weeks tops. Any point in buying some T5's and using them? And how many watts because I already have too much light in my 2x2 (240watts).
i use mine from flip. 5 minutes on. 3 times per day (12 hr). i just have 1 2 footer in a 3x4. not sure of wattage the bulb is.

if you can get one in there quickly, it should help you. alot of people use something like a 10000K finishing bulb for the last 2 weeks

5mins on 3 times during lights on? Wtf. Okay, I first have to do some research on how to use them. I found some Osram T5s of 28w and they're pretty cheap. I will get 5 lol. Thanks for the help.

I can find as high as 6500k unfortunately. I think I will skip them for now and use them on my next grow since flip. Will do some research online first and maybe order Agromax 10000K T5s from abroad. Thanks for all the help.
did you say you are in a 2x2?

check out uv CFLs for reptiles instead if you can't source teh t5. amazon or ebay or even a fish store would carry them

your welcome.

Exactly what I was thinking. Wonder if I crank some far red during the formation of a mainline, then switch it off for the rest of veg and the stretch, and back on again when the colas start to bulk up...

I just bought some supplemental strips because of this video. They have 660nm red and 730nm far red as well as a few 395nm uv chips as well. The science on 730nm seems pretty solid while the UV looks promising. I’ll be adding 60w to my 720w white LED bars.

You can counter act the stretch if you add in some blue light. Migro has a few videos where he touched on that including one with dr bugbee

Since cannabis is shade avoidant, wouldn't it suggest that far-red light would stretch the plant? Could you use far-red to promote stronger stems and leaves in coordination with blue light to minimize stretching?
Exactly. I ran infrared lights along with UVA lights on, and up to 2 hours of UVB. I didnt witness any unneccessary stretch. Even the flower stretch was very small running that full spectrum

Awesome thanks for all the precious info. Can I also have your opinions on UV strips/bars? Some people here say it increases THC but decreases yield? Probably broscience but want to hear your opinions. God Bless you.
To much UV-B does decrease yield while UV-A doesn't.

The Fluence UV LED I have runs UVA @ 66umol/s. I threw it up on one side of a 4x4 space; it throws ~2x4 footprint. I've had it on for the past 3 days during the full 12hr photoperiod. The ladies seem to be happy; tomorrow is week 8 of flower. My Growfather swore by uvb. He would start 5min a day in first week of flower. By the time he would ripen/flush he would push 60min in the middle of the photoperiod. I suppose he was trying to simulate high noon.

I also have a far-red Ray led from Fluence. After this information from Prof. Bugbee, I'd really like to explore its application(s) more.
