week 8 bloom

So I'm coming to the end of my plant cycle currently on week 8. I start my flesh this upcoming Thursday which is the beginning of week 9 I'm currently following a fee chart and nutrient line from general hydroponics. Here are some pictures of the trichomes mostly all of the little balls are milky color I know at least 25% amber color is what I'm looking for right? I just wouldn't want to harvest too soon or too late. Do you think I can achieve the 25% amber color within one week during flush?

Haha okay here are the pics of the buds
Sexy tasty frostings bro. You're very very close. I would say 3 more weeks tops. Patience my friend. I have an auto that's 106 days old and has 2 weeks more to go. When you check the trichomes, make sure you're looking at the calyxes, NOT on the leaves because they turn amber way faster. Also agree with Bob about flushing. Good luck!

You've got more than a week left. Closer to three.
And don't flush.
Just water down your nutes a little bit.
Flushing is a myth ... bro science.
You cannot flush a plant.

Looks like some nice buds!
Okay so I'll just dial down their feed but just keep feeding them for another 3 weeks or so ... only reason why I'm flushing is because the nutrient kit came with it and it's on the feed chart this is my second grow so I'm still rookie and new

3 weeks?!?! GTFO :cuss::finger::shock:o_O

You could take them down right now if you wanted to. Another week is fine tho. 3 weeks and it's a full on indica high. Can you wait 3 more weeks for those? No freakin' way :eyesmoke:

You also won't get more than a gram or 2 a plant extra.

Agreed 2-3 weeks probably. Still a lot of clear looking trichs on the actual calyxes. Here's an example from my current grow. If you look at the sugar leaf (red) it's super amber but the actual calyx is still mostly clear.

Super good progress dude! Frosty buds, you're gonna enjoy those!

Drop cycle down from 12/12 during last 7-10 days , no flush just a watering. Let pull what remains in medium.

Cycle play is a way to “ finish “ a strain coming to end. 10/14 for example.
Any point in doing this with autos? I have 2 weeks to go and been runnin 20/4.

I only did this as a failsafe with sketchy running autos ( or i should say autos that stall / or never preflower )
Its a way to kick them in the pants .

As as yours sounding deep into late flower a drop might finish them a little faster since it is no longer branching / leaf making. Buds should be pretty much well formed by now , your call . It just makes plant assume short days are here and it needs to finish.

Growing buds is a little, or a lot, like growing figs.
As the fruit ripens and the outside gets soft, you’re tempted to harvest it.
But it takes a while to get the center at it’s peak … a true realization of it’s potential.
When the sweet nectar starts to ooze from the bottom of the fig still on the tree, it turns darker.
That’s the bullseye.
Buds are kind of the same.
The trichs start to ripen on the outside (sugar leaves) first and tempt you.
But the calyxes are what you want ripe.
Patience is rewarded.

I'm going to give it an extra week an update probably tomorrow and then after probably 4 days or 5 I'll take more pictures

They look super tasty.
Still some whiteys in the 2nd pic but they'll turn after chop anyhow.
At this point, it's your call.

I'll try to take some new pictures of the trichomes but for the most part they're all cloudy with hardly any amber

Here's another update first day of week 10. Been flushing for 7 days using Flora Klean.
Before even thinking about harvesting take a look at this and see if your plant is actually showing you all these signs. This is the guide to a proper harvest.

The signs of ripeness are pretty standard.

First a few of the pistils begin turning color and start receding. Your plant is just starting to ripen. Depending on the strain you could still have two months to go. We're just starting this journey.

Two to four weeks later you'll notice that most of the pistils(>80%) have now changed color and curled back into the bud. It's frosty, way bigger than it was a few weeks ago, and smells dank! It's time, right? Not a chance killer. Patience is a virtue

Over the next 2-3 weeks it doesn't look much different, maybe a little more swelling in the calyxes, and the rest of the pistils change over, but the stems ars starting to bend under the weight of the buds. These ladies are putting on weight and now the buds are doing their final ripening.

Now you begin looking at trichomes, on the calyx not leaves, and harvest according to your preference. When looking at trichomes it’s essential to look at them from the side. The bulbous heads can magnify the opaque stalk under it. Looking from the side allows you to more accurately see the condition of the resin in the trichome head.

There is still no rush to harvest, the window just opened, and you have several weeks before you MIGHT start having to think about it possibly beginning to get too ripe. It takes WEEKS for plants to mature not days.

It is very easy to harvest a plant to early. It is very hard to harvest a plant to late. I’ve never seen someone accidentally wait too long.
