Harvest question?

Hello once again Im going onto week 8 of flower and my main question is when should I harvest my plants.

the pistils are now at a 60-70% brown and the remaining are white pistils, trichomes are mostly all milky with around 5% amber, and hardly any clear.

i like my weed to be more of an energetic high, some relaxation is good (not too much) , but it’s more of an idea to get an idea on when I should harvest.! Thanks again

Hey brother, if you checked the trichomes ON THE CALYXES and NOT on the leaves and they're milky, harvest right now. I'm 99% sure that trichomes are more important than pistils to estimate when to chop. I've harvested Sativas before with completely cloudy trichomes but still 50% white hairs but usually first all the pistils turn amber and receed into the bud, and then the trichomes get milky and amber.

Wait for more replies as well, but probably most people will tell you that you have 2-3 weeks left. From my experience, trichomes tell the whole story, not the pistils. All white pistils will turn amber 24-48 hours after chop anyways. Good luck bro and good job on the girls. Sexy and frosty!

These are at week 10 of 12/12

purple leaves are almost done (probably chopping over the weekend)

non purple leaves buds need at least another week and that’s without even checking my trichomes.

honest opinion is don’t even think about harvest until all pistils have browned and begin to recede back into the calyx A32424FB-FD15-419F-A016-4C0C25887B49.jpeg3020BAD3-EDF9-4A21-8E25-55A0E62FFAB6.jpegD46D2A67-F3CA-4409-99F9-7B03653A63ED.jpeg8E90B9AB-7D25-4C82-BEC5-F6C30C37FEDC.jpeg8D1701AA-A1CC-4F9C-AF62-7EDA95579E2E.jpeg

Made sure to check the calyx always! I tend to and always have harvested with some white hairs it’s just my preference never found anything bad doing it. Also Took a sample of the SK and it was amazing. May let it go longer if my mind gets changed

Also a fan of energetic sativas. I always grow 2 plants, one indica and harvest it very late. Perfect for a night smoke. I become one with my bed lol. And one sativa where I always chop when trichomes are milky, couple of times pistils were 30-40% white but it's great for day smoke :hump:

When you let the buds mature and grow for that long how do you feel the high to be ?

I may actually do that exactly what you just said lol. Harvest the sativa leaning plant earlier, and let the indica mature. Instead of harvesting them both!

it depends on the strain.

a lot of people still believe that harvesting an energetic sativa late will turn it into an comatosing indica which just isn’t the case.

what I’ve found is the length of time flowered for effects the length of time the effects last for.

indica pulled early has a weak effect where as Indica harvested within the ripeness window the effects get stronger.

Thanks I am going to wait another week! I’ll be back then.
