The ultimate hydro upgrade

Got fucking tired of battling my cunt wife in the morning for the kitchen sink. Installed one in the basement but my RO faucet is upstairs. Fuck! Today I had enough of that bitch. I swear to christ the cunt will wait just until she knows I'm about to go into the kitchen to make her move. I say this with love mind you. A 2 way RO output splitter, flow valve, 1 gallon rubbermaid water pitcher, an amazon float valve, and a little 1/4 OD tubing solved that problem permanently today:

I refill my jug 3 times a day. Now there's no chance of me having to interact with the fucking wife on those occasions and my blood pressure is slowly reducing. Again, this is a project of love. At least that's the story I'm telling :)

If you aren't married yet I will promise you one thing, if you ever get married you will one day know exactly what the fuck I'm talking about here. If you don't get married it'll be the smartest move you ever made in your life :)

You gonna burn through filters
I go through about 50 gallons a week between household use and the garden. It's about 8 months old and I still haven't had to replace any carbon blocks or membranes. Swapped the DI resin. Of course that's only for the garden reservoirs. You don't want to drink DI water. I split the line for drinking water prior to the DI filter at the end of the system. The resin is not food grade. I bought my RO system from a reputable supplier. It is rated at 150gpd and is a water saver model with 2 membranes and a 1:1 exchange ratio. Still spitting out 0PPM every day. The RO membranes will most likely be maintenance swapped at 12 months as well as the carbon blocks.

My lady has been my lady for 17 years now. I wouldn't be where we are, or have what we do without her. Smartest move ice ever made. Although I think she is a little jealous of the girls.
All the wives / girlfriends are :)

I had a beagle I raised from 3 months old. I loved that dog more than most of my family members. My wife was jealous of that dog from day 1. The dog was about 4 when I met my wife. She lived to be 18. Bitch was jealous of that dog for a lotta years :)

I believe what the commenter was referring to, was the RO is less effecient with the on and off of the small rez you got there.
Use more filters, waste more water.

You could upgrade to a 5g bucket, put a spicket on the bottom, and have a constant source of water.
I do this, except with a 30g trash tub, and a PVC valve to dump into my hydro system.

Thanks. I'm new to RO systems. Using a small volume at a time causes more discharge than if a large volume were consumed?

She does all my trimming. I love the fucking bitch and do anything for her. I've been by her side through cancer and radiation. Thick and thin. 17 years of it. That's why I can say these things. You can't get away with that shit :)
Glad some random internet stranger feels entitled to tell me what the fuck I can and can’t do. You’re about as bad as my wife at times.

I remembered reading that in my research, but can't find anything to back it up.

Water pressure for sure has a large effect of ro efficiency though
Very jealous of your gaurdian by the way :)

I actually use to knock those as overpriced, but dammit they are lovely and very convenient. To just be able to walk past your reservoir and see the vitals is fan-fucking-tastic! At some point I gotta spend the cheddar and get one. That's the rolls royce of PH monitoring homie :)

Yeah those bluelab monitors are great, I actually have an indoor security camera hooked up to look at it, that way I can check it from my phone from anywhere.
I also got the bluelab doser, saves me soo much time not worrying at all about PH.
