Help a newb please

I’m failing my ladies and I’m not 100% sure why. They are on day 34. I thought it was over watering but I cut back and they started to look worse. I’ve kept the ph between 5.5-6.2 and 0.3 EC.
I put a 400 Watt MH on them 6 days ago and they started to droop about 2 days later. Could it be light stress?
ill Provide any other info you need. Please helpE0542CE7-E3DA-42FB-A8A6-E69F4DDFF262.jpeg832B7440-8655-4734-B8B2-CD83C3E2E5D0.jpeg

Somethings not right if those are 34 days old. Not sure of your medium or nutrients etc. If anything they look like they are stretching a lot which would indicate not enough light. My initial guess would be root issues and damping off.

you're right, I missed that part about day 34, wonder what kind of light/feeding schedule they've been under all this time

pretty sickly for day 34. they almost look overfed but at .3 ec they should be weak and yellow. They are going to need time to recuperate and they may keep growing. It's going to be a long crop.

I definitely agree, first grow is not going bueno. I used rockwool to germ in(I regret) only had one T5 on them in a super sprouter dome until day 14. Most roots were coming out of rockwool before I had the tray setup.
Some roots had brownish tips but the plant looked ok. I tried removing what brown I could. They dropped a bit but bounced back a few days later.
Finally got 4 4ft T8s kept it 2” from tops. Fed phd 6.0 water for a couple days.

Day 16 Started feeding floragro 2-1-6 75ml 37gallons purified water since I transferred to table. 6 feedings during 18/6. Put the MH on them at day 28.

The roots that I have found at the bottom of pots are white and healthy looking now.

I think you should change up and start some new plants in a different media, either soil or coco, and just keep it super simple. Start that halide like 40 inches above the seeds/seedlings, feed something like Maxigrow/bloom, test and adjust ph/ppms with each feed and double check the accuracy of your tools.

it could be root rot. did you check the color of the roots?
Some tips were brown when I put transferred to hydroton pot(day 14) I tried removing what I could. After that they drooped for a few days then the leaves lifted back up.
Currently some plants have roots that have found bottom of pot and they look white and healthy.

You can't overwater hydro.
If your 400 MH stressed them move it up.
Switch to plain tap for awhile until they straighten up
How are you checking pH?

I'd start there. Best of luck with your grow.

I don't see a problem with your method. I used to do it almost exactly the same. It loooks like you are usng 2 ml/gal which should be good enough. I wouldn't think the purified water lacking cal mag would make the plants so stunted. I don't think those small rockwool cubes would be a problem once the roots pop out. The mystery deepens.

Checking the Rez everyday with a bluelab ph pen. Just switched it to plain tap and moved the lights up. Will report back. Thanks for the info
I love my Bluelab pen, just make sure you calibrate it.

I'm with @70's natureboy everything seems right but your results aren't. Giving them just tap water for a few days should give you more information. It will rule out overfeeding and/or too acidic pH concurrently, before switching back to nutrients.
