Outdoor that is fine. Indoor why would you let one grow taller than the rest? That screws with light intensity for the rest of your plants. And they look stretched as hell trying to reach the light. Who makes your blurple light? What are the watts from the wall? How many? I've got 2 mars hydro tsl2000 that pull 300 watts each.

I run the kingled series i have 2 1500's but the only plant that has stretched is the tall on and it has its own light there in the middle i wanted to see how much one would stretch verse topping it and not there were 2 clones exactly the same started at same time one topped and one not the tall one will be going into its own area very soon the other plants are living and doing just fine with there lights 18-24 inches above them

Get a filter for you sink then run it thru another filter from your holding tank to your plants
