Is there a way for the layman at home to make water soluble THC? Thinking of trying to make my own infused soda water or kombucha or something like that... would I need to make a tincture and then therefore have alcohol present? If so... how concentrated can one make a tincture and still have it mix with the water... if it will. I did a quick Google search and saw some things about nano emulsion???

afaik ... no.
Some have tried cyclodextrins. But they are “health category not known”.

You need a micelle solution which requires use of an emulsifier. Although it's only soluble in oil or alcohol you can hold it in a colloidal solution which can be close enough to mimic plain water.

How about making a coconut oil, soy lecithin, and thc mixture. Would that possibly be water soluble?
I would not use soy lecithin. It is strongly estrogenic.

This is where experimenting begins. You do research on creating colloidal solutions by emulsification and then start experimenting. Here's a nice introduction:

Try this thread, this person has a great list. He's helped with your research:

Hmm so far I have seen two of the ideas I have had being used on that thread (lecithin and alcohol tincture) so it sounds like in a pinch they will work but that there are much better but more technical ways. Lots to go through here. Thanks again!
