You’re actually wrong here, unsurprisingly. The letter of the law says six, with an ambiguous mention of more if it’s required by your condition. When there’s a hard number, law enforcement uses it. There have been literally hundreds of busts on medical patients for over six, because who gets to decide what “within reason” means? The government does. Have they actually agreed with anyone’s “within reason”? Not that I’m aware of. I know quite a few guys that were raided the day that rec use went into effect, their “within reason” was said to be “unreasonable”.

Complete bullshit!!

Law enforcement is ignoring home-growing, even by non-patients. I've seen them say that anything under 100 plants is legal.

It's past time for you to start paying attention.

I haven't seen anything about whether or not growing for personal use will be included.

Under the Senate bill, passed Friday afternoon, simple possession would be legal starting in July, but retail sales would not start until 2024.

At the moment there are only four medical dispensaries in the entire state. So, for now, I guess they make bank and the black market thrives.
Right. I don’t see how growing could be allowed with an oz possession limit. The day you chop your plant you commit a felony basically.

So, just go back to the good old days of when MJ was treated as if it were heroine. Yeah, that's better than what CA has today.

You’re pushing 100% false information. I literally know home grow medical patients that got raided. You’re admin, and you’re giving info that could get people incarcerated, not very bright. A guy in my county got busted a month ago for having 8 clones in his truck for fucksake. That doesn’t scream law enforcement doesn’t care if it’s less than 100, does it? BTW, the only dispensaries in my county are medical, so it’s almost 100% that he was medical.

If you’ve ever lived in California, you’d know it was basically ignored before prop 215. The worst I ever saw in California was 1 year in county when my step dad was caught in one of his four bedroom grow houses in ’92. He served three months then had house arrest. That’s not even close to being treated like heroine.

Oh, so that's the good old days. And you want to go back to them.

The 30 gram limit in Canada is for carrying. In Ontario you can grow 4 plants and have something like a thousand grams in house.

The ounce limit is for carrying not owning.

You can legally "gift" someone up to 30 grams, at a time! People seem more or less content with the law, the cops ain't looking and they are not too eager to challenge the 4 plant per household limit in court, people have rights, not households. Just don't be a pain in the ass to others and you'll be OK, you can run a lucrative traditional gardening business among a circle of friends if you wish. Government prices are high, but illegal online dispensaries are where the real competition for price is.

And much better quality.
LEDs were the nuclear weapons in the war on cannabis, the spectrum is 100% useable by the plants and the energy costs and heat generated are low. Even an array of 100 watt (17 w) dollar store LED bulbs with the light diffusers removed can do an excellent job of growing pot plants.

I'm planning on starting 4 for the back yard greenhouse early and expect to flower large white widows on July 1st by covering the grow in the evening and uncovering it in the morning to induce early flowering and expect they will be all done by the first or second week of September. I don't grow indoors in July and august, too hot and other things to do, but the backyard should work ok if I prepare and get the timing right.

There is no limit in Ontario for the amount of cannabis within your residence. With a 30 gram possession limit outside the house however, I predict some serious complications if a 4-plant grower buys a new house and moves. lol
