My charcoal carbon filter is clogged and full of salt because of the humidifier having calcium build up is there any way I can clean the filter ??
I have not done it but I know others have. Rinsing it with a hose and than drying it. Some also replace the carbon. I have not done either so won't give you advice on it but someone who has will likely be along shortly.

I do the tear down and refill every third year. Some beating without damaging and the hose with high pressure water then compressed air to dry in between. Most filters can be taken apart and refilled. Some just need rivets to be drilled out or ground off. Then hopefully not paper filtered. If so you need to make a filter sleeve to line the can again. I just buy cheap HEPA furnace filters and easily make the sleeve. Spend more money or some time refurbishig and learning. I just prefer to minimize my wasted time and money here. Best wishes all.

Where do you buy your refill carbon?

I only know aquarium carbon, but for that I like Seachem a LOT because it's very uniform and spherical, so I think it would work well in this application.
Old school Fish RX is the easiest and cheapest here. And does Sea Chem not include ammonia catalytics? Been a few since my insane get rich breeding fish days. LMAO.

That's for spreading that knowledge @MICHI-CAN , much appreciated.
TY. Not knowledge as most accept. My opinions and years of looking for knowledge surrounded by less curious, competent and OCD people. I highly cherish the crazy people in my life for what I do know and do. Sane folk are still trying get things to turn on. LMAO.

Humor and always break your dilemma down to its basic parts. Solutions are easily realized without the distraction of how smart we are.

alibaba is the best place, you can buy coconut granulated charcoal for $2 per kilogram “2.2 pounds”. You can even buy a ton for $700 or you can get ripped on eBay for 5 pounds for $16. Or you can avoid it altogether and buy another filter, the easy expensive route
