Thanks for the compliment. Slurricane from IHG (Cowboy's Cut via PCG). Grown in coco/perlite drain to waste under HLG QB96's. That pic is at 8-weeks 12/12.

Here's a pic of a cured nug from the same run..

How many of the QB96's, and how big a space?

They're two separate 320w fixtures and not fully filled in either. It's week 4 on a seed run selecting for keepers and I'm tossing hermies (there's one in this picture) and leaving gaps where they were. But you can see the bud formation on the lower parts of the branches. It doesn't even make sense how the lower buds get so dense, I can't actually get my head around it; It's one of the things which's impressed me the most about these lights.

Bear in mind this is with NO walls. I've got no mylar even on the outside walls and on two of the canopies there is no wall to ANY side. Under a 315 CMH that's just literally not possible.

Those are some nice frosty buds. I flower with LED/CMH combo and they all look the same to me as far as the frost goes. I do typically end up with some popcorn buds but I'm pretty sure I have branches that are bigger than those plants. Also guessing that since you are just doing a pheno hunt that after you find keepers they will be trained etc etc.

Yep, can't wait to get these down to clones. I hate doing see runs this big, it's a shit way to select for keepers to be honest. I'm not even looking for yield either, just for a clean run with no seed and a few keepers. It's Karma's headbanger amongst others so there should be a few

You should post your bank account balance so we can feel real shitty about ourselves. Obviously blank out your account numbers. Just show the balance.

Bullshit. I love my LED's, but if I didn't supplement them in the winter with HID, I'd be running a heater instead to get temps up to a point where heavy buds could be produced.
I'm joking

The switch to led isn't easy at first. Everything I'm saying Is on the basis that it's been tuned in. They don't need to be supplemented with hid tho imo, even in winter

My choice was adding a heater or a HID light for the cold months. I chose the HID light, because it throws infrared light in addition to PAR photons, which heats up my leaf surface temps at least 5 degrees above ambient temps.

Grow medium and light info please.. thanks
I forgot to say WOW..
Lights have got me stumped... I look at LEC spectrums available and think how I could overlap different lamps through the grow.. Then teeter back to LED.. spectrum fills the middle. BUT.. then there are LED end results. I started my quest thinking LED, listened to some of those botanist professors, and the two ends seem as important as the middle.
I like the led's, but the good stuff costs more than I am willing to gamble with on something I have never done before.
Additionally there would still be augmenting for the 2 extreme ends. I would like to hear about good and bad experiences with CMH ballasts. Thanks for your patience.
