They got se crazy tops too. Flamed, quilted... whatever you want. Only reason to own a real gibson anymore is just to own one. Prs se's are also insane for the price. I got my eye on a charvel now
I don't have any of their guitars (well I do have a Takamine acoustic -- same company), but I do have a bass made by them. It's pretty atypical, but sounds and feels real nice for a $500 bass:

This is a real cool video from a few years ago.. A behind the scenes tour of the ESP USA shop. They talk about and show a lot of their tech, and is one of the reasons I decided to purchase an instrument from them.

I mostly finger pick anyway. But a picks like a quarter. That things prolly like 20 bucks. That's 80 guitar picks. All the exact thickness (girth) you want. You'll break that thing trying to chomp through your ex's platinum card before you lose 80 picks
I have a couple stuffed in my wallet, for emergencies. I mostly flat pick.

I used to have a nice Tribute G&L. I could not find a picture of it, found one online.

It cost about $500, really nice but I could not play it because of pain issues so I sold it. I found I could play Strat type of guitars so I modified a Tele styled guitar I am making to have the arm bevel and belly cut.

Here is the body (before bevels) and the neck. I put the frets and tuners in at this time.

But I am more into building acoustics.

Ibanez just came out with an awesome looking tele with grooves in the body. Schector got one too for way way cheaper

Same reason you got a fast motorcycle even though you only casualy ride it. Sometimes it just feels better to have nice shit.

Also your guitars are fine. Epiphones are solid instruments. The newer ones are even better. The semi hollow you started this thread with is awesome. I'd play the shit out of it. I need me a new hollow

I just got it a few weeks back. It's a 2014 lpj. It's not a pricy one but it sounds incredible and plays great. The dude I got it from changed the knobs and added a pickguard. Caught my eye super fast
I don’t get to play much anymore. I sold my Les Paul about 5 years ago. But I’ve still got a cheap Samick acoustic and an Electric LTD which sounds really good, I just hate the pickups why they put green on fuck knows and the skull knobs aren’t my scene either.
