I would checkout migro on YouTube. They do metered readings and give great info. The best are homemade though. It’s damn easy. https://ledgardener.com/diy-led-strip-build-designs-samsung-bridgelux/

It’s basically building your own fluence for less than 1/2

I'm seriously considering building my own.. have you done it? And would you recommend it even with zero eltrical knoledge? Sourcing the correct Aluminium seems to be harder/more expensive than in the us (UK)

Yep I built that 5x5 unit with the f series and I love it. Built another from my grow friend. If you use the bridgelux build which is 18 strips you can get away with just angled aluminum that you find in a hardware store. The bridgelux are also up to v3 so they are even better.

i am a handy guy. The electrical didn’t bother me so much. The voltage is pretty low so it’s not super dangerous. If you make your connections good there should be 0 problem. ButIf your really apprehensive and don’t have a handy/electric friend that can take a look/help then stick to somethibg simpler. I personally almost went with the HLG or atreum quantum boards. You can also source from China and save a few bucks. Check out the led sub forum here. It’s great if you have time to wade though all the pages.

Serious props dude!! Just what I needed! I'm pretty handy and have lots of tools as I'm a construction
worker. I also built a battery bank and wired up my solar panels in my camper van so I think I might just give this ago!! The budget grow lights pre built tempted me but shipping is nearly 100gbp! :x

there you go. I am guessing you can find them on digikey. I have a feeling they might only be selling gen 3 now. They have the same specs as the v2 except more efficient (200 lumens per watt vs 180) so you can use the plans from the dyi website with no modification. I more pointed out that v3 is out because now I think if I had to do the unit over again the bridgelux would be the way to go....just because of the efficiency, even though 18 strips is way more work than just wiring 6.

I throughly enjoyed making mine and you can make a crazy rig vs what you can buy. You might want to look into cobs too if you have trouble sourcing stuff over there. They are reasonable to build it looks like. I personally like the nice distributed light so strips for me.

Yea I’m sure your gonna be fine. I work with numbers so your probably gonna hit a home run. If you can get those wagos that site recommends are totally worth it.(super ez connections) Honestly I was able to put the 2nd one I built together in less than 2 hours, and I took my time putting locktite on the screws and making it pretty (well as pretty as aluminum bolted together can be)

let me know if you need more pics If you want to see something in particular. Or when you are building/ordering junk I’ll answer questions if I can. Not that I’m an expert or anything....

I got both the Lenofocus and an HLG 550 and for some reason the plants like the Lenofocus more. Maybe the HLG will do better in flower we'll see. For now it's collecting dust until I pop more seed and use it on low wattage for veg. I'm have to borrow my boys Forklift to hang the HLG back up in the tent that thing is a freaking concrete slab. If quality was measured by weight then the HLG is the best of all time.

I got the 2000 version it's been pretty nice so far. I got it because of the long orientation that fits and covers a 2x4 perfectly.

Here's a freebie Shorty strain under the lenofocus in veg still. Don't mind the pads in the background it's her time of the month. Lol
But your right theres something about the lenofocus spectrum the plants love it show in the terps too
