Ac/Infinity Ventilation Fans. Also looking for discount code.

Hello all. Trying to figure out a ventilation setup for my tent. Gorilla Grow Tent 5x5x8. To exchange air once a minute I'm needing 200 cfm. Looking at the 6inch ac infinity which claims 402 cfm. I figure after the filter and the short run of vent hose, less than 6 feet and pretty straight, I should still have plenty of pull from the fan. Anyone have any reasons why I shouldn't use this brand? Also looking for any discounts codes for anything ventilation related before I empty my shopping cart. Thanks.

if it doesn't have a controller 67 you cant set a minimum fan speed~ so if you are using high/ low temp/humidity setpoints, if those are reached your extraction fan would shut off and not scrub for a little bit. The controller 67 will allow full control I just got one and will be setting it up soon

Can you post a link to that one? The one I was looking at had a controller. I just wanna make sure I understand what you mean.

these fans are new to me and I just started using them a grow ago. I think there is a learning curve to them but the overall design is nice and I like a lot of things it has to offer. If you have the option and go with this setup put the controller outside of the tent and be careful not to get the probe wet

overall I wouldn't rule out something simpler but it is a nice product, and if worried about smell im not sure how well their fans work with smell but I really like mine and I do not use a carbon filter

I use an 8" ac infinity fan in a 4x4 gorilla lite, second from lowest setting-It's quiet enough to sleep next to, but I use earplugs anyway for unrelated reasons. I'll be using a filter with it, and adding another 8 ft of ducting to vent it out the window in the summer. Even on the second from the lowest setting, it moves an incredible amount of air-I passive vent, using all three mesh vents plus the 2 8" duct vents on the bottom and I could only go up one more speed without adding an active intake. I like ac infinity fans, they sure are quiet compared to others I've owned.

I was looking at a kit on amazon. The 6inch fan with a controller. But no where in the ad description does it tell me what model controller is included. The picture looks the same as the controller link you posted but I wanna be sure before ordering. I have included the Amazon link.

Amazon sucks sometimes lol. I found the controller separate easy enough. But they don't sell the fan as a stand alone. You have to get the junky controller as well and pay extra for it. No need for 2 controllers. The discount code worked for me. Thanks

No ac infinity either comes with a basic speed controller ie s4,s6,so or the ones with the fancy controller t4,t6,t8.

With the controller included with the T-series, can u have it set to auto for temp and humidity but also have a minimum speed set, so it doesn't totally shut off?

unless they also upgraded the T series controllers this is not correct.

The T series controllers just allow you to set trigger points for on/off based on temp and rh. You get one speed to set it to. its either on or off.

Controller 67 allows you to set a max speed and a trigger point. it will dynamically adjust the fan speed based on how hard it needs to work. at 1 or 2 degrees above min it might be on speed 1 but if it gets real hot could ramp up to 10.

This is how their original 12V model controllers worked, but once they switched to 24V and added RH sensor they took that feature away.
