Ahh... a trolling post brought me back to life. LOL Yep, I would have harvested and then quick dried a little. But that's me; top buds can be harvested now or wait for some more of the white stuff to color. Nice looking lady bud!!

I am too old to recall the terms correctly, but here goes.
The hairs (stigmas) on the bud look to be over 50% colored. (Time to look closer.)
The trichomes (thc balloons) seem to be over 50% cloudy. (Amber trichomes are over ripe and their caps easily fall off. If too many turn amber before harvest, the smoke is less potent. IMO)
I like to harvest when more than 50% of the hairs are colored and when more of the thc balloons are cloudy than clear colored.
All this is my opinion and may or may not be helpful. This topic can be touchy and I can only give old school opinions.

appreciate the advice. never considered the heads breaking easier.

at the moment dont have anything set up to collect the shake other than an aluminum pan that is used for trimming. really need to research saving that for hash or whatever use.

first run with mega crop. have Jack's for a try on next run. still learnin.

hoping the Jack's helps for getting more dialed in.

humidity has been in the 30s at most all winter. have not invested in a humidifier yet so tryin to keep feed level low since they need water every day in a 5gal pot.

UV-b was on 30min a day at noon as well. that was really hard on the leaves starting at late flower, turned most a blueish-purple tint.

probably should have used less UV with that dry air.

however, have some decent medicine that doesnt cost me $18 gram.

dispensaries prices keep it unattainable for fixed income folks like me.

was turned on to this site by an employee of a grow shop.

maybe fortunately for them I had already made the purchases.

made a one time investment in equipment to "hopefully cover me for years to come". only growing for personal medicinal.

however, after having been on this sight and trying out nutrients, techniques, advice given to others, no doubt would have invested differently and saved beaucoup bucks.

smells like fiber glass resin.

supposedly a Hindu Kush of somekind.

Perhaps our blunt rollitup member means either one or the other of the innumerable possibilities.

First you need to flush your plants for the tastiest nugs. (This is believed by some.)

Second you need to take that stuff, when it is ready, and take bubble hash bags and get to flushing those nugs and make some straight up street happy. (This is believed by me.)

At least this are my best guesses.
