Hey!- I started like everyone w. GH liquid- needles to say $$$$ later- I'm using Jacks-Epsom-Acid, only ran jacks 3 times so far.

I noticed the roots get almost black, I think almost from the start.

Huge tho'- Not good bud output although. I had spiderfarmer mites (that's what I call the unkillable 2 gen ones) last time bad also.

I assumed from the acid powder-but I just looked at a new grow- 2 feet long and they are normal white- why did they get so dark- age and repeated feedings?

I didn't take any, never thought of it, if it happens this time I'll do it. They had pretty big roots compaired to previous grows.

They were more dark dark brow is guess, smelled bad too.

That sounds like Root rot how are u growing DWC?

It's definitely not from using Jacks that's just not what would cause that you are getting, spidermites you say plus some sort of pathogens into your water could be from over heating or it could be non steril equipment being used over and over, not sure what you are working with what your environment is like.... Hope this helps good luck !

I was thinking that too but there was 1 good plant, don't know why mites didn't like that flavor much+ it was an older plant. Roots looked the same.

The mites suck chlorophyll right? They might contribute to it. They sure killed to buds, I'm watching this grow with a microscope!

GH nutrients are good, Jacks are good, sounds like you have another problem (possibly bugs), because I doubt it's your nutrients.

Did u bleach every nook and cranny? This would be highly recommended trust me even if there is still a little bit of that funk left in some crevice, it will just leach back in and get out of control , maybe do some preventative maintenance H202 , pool shock ,bleach just like 3-5 ppm of it should do it
