Pics are of whole plant and close up of bud.
First 2 pics are Phoenix fire and second 2 pics are mindflayer both from solfire breeder.

been reading a lot of the posts in the harvesting section of riu and everyone who commands respect on this site seems to always be telling everyone to wait another week or 2

just wanted to throw my girls up there and see what y’all think...
This is day 61 of flower, breeder recommends 60 days but obv that’s just suggestion.

also, I’m seeing a lot of controversy about how to prep the plants for chopping... some people leave lights off for extended time before chopping.. some people “flush” but I’m seeing mixed thoughts on that... some people stop watering before harvest...
just wondering if there is an accepted best management practice on prepping plants for chopping...

thanks everyone for your attention,
First ever grow so be gentle.

Flushing for me depends on the grow, if it’s actual organic you don’t flush, if you use synthetic nutrients or grow hydroponically I think flushing is a must. I stop watering depending on the season, in the winter my plants will dry in 2 days which isn’t good so I water right until harvest, in the summer I stop watering a couple days because it’s more humid and they don’t dry as fast.

Your best bet for figuring out harvest would be to get a scope, you can buy little manual ones for like 10 bucks or get one that plugs into a USB port for like 50. When to chop is somewhat personal preference.

I like to pull/clip my fan leaves before chop as I find it easier to get to them with the upright plant. I flush a week or two before that and switch to plain water, mostly just watching for the plant to start yellowing/fading. Hang whole and try to dry as slow as possible.

Nowhere near done. All breeders count days + 14 days preflower from flip. Keep this in mind. The most ripe plant in those pictures have at least a month to go. Don't look on trichomes and don't count days. Let the plant decide when it's ripe.

I have a pheno of Hifi 4G supposed to be done in 64 days according to breeder. I count that as 78 days +-. Mine is probably done more than 80 days from flip.

You guessed it lol, a couple more weeks yet.
Idk about flushing that would depend on your version of flushing?
There's some advocate stopping feeding for the last 7/14 days I don't subscribe to that, when I deem it ready/mature I'll give nothing but water for 3/5 days before I chop it.

If you don’t grow them long enough they won’t be potent, you want all milky or white trichomes with some amber, that’s where the scope and preference for a heady high or more body. Correct me if I’m wrong please
