61% right now. Shoud be fine bro.I'd be cautious with that much humidity and their large size. Honestly I'd consider chopping them up and hang in pieces. Just an idea.
Going to change during curing also bro chop them ladiesThanks for your input bro!
Already down and drying. 20-22°C, 48-52% rhGoing to change during curing also bro chop them ladies
Trics turn amber when they're past their ripeness, and have a sedating effect when consumed. Too many amber trics on your buds will cause couchlock. You want to use amber trics to determine when a large percentage of all the trics are at the tail end of being milky, meaning "ripe".Hey buddy I think so too. It's been 2 weeks since I made this thread and all the amber trichomes receeded into the bud but the white hairs from the foxtails stayed the same. Don't be confused with the pictures that I uploaded the first time. I uploaded new pics of both plants today. Your thoughts on the gorilla glue?

Also, trics continue to ripen during drying.
I love GG#4, and I'm growing that next to one of my other faves, White Widow. GG in front, and ww in back.

You were right my friend. Unfortunately, the main bud of one plant is starting to show mold. 48-60% humidity at all times. No idea why it happened. Any ideas on what to do now guys? Add more fans, dehumidifier or chop it into pieces?I'd be cautious with that much humidity and their large size. Honestly I'd consider chopping them up and hang in pieces. Just an idea.
Quickly, and completely remove any bud showing rot, because it will spread to all buds around them. Chop them all down now. Next time use a dehumidifier, and keep a small fan blowing on the plants at night to help prevent condensation. You were right my friend. Thanks buddy. That's what I did. Trimming right now. The mold is only on the main bud thank God. I did use a fan and the rh was never above 61%. Most of the time it was 40-48%. A little unlucky I feel but it's okay. Not the end of the world.Quickly, and completely remove any bud showing rot, because it will spread to all buds around them. Chop them all down now. Be very careful at this point, because bud rot can spread to other buds while curing in jars. Smell the contents of the jars often, for signs of funky smelling bud rot. If you come across this situation, you have to find the rotting buds and toss them. Don't try to smoke bud with rot, it can cause respiratory issues, like pneumonia and bronchitis. Before jarring, id let them dry out a little more than usual. They'll rehydrate in the jars. Thanks buddy. That's what I did. Trimming right now. The mold is only on the main bud thank God. This ^^. Suggest multiple small containers to limit any possible loss due to mold spread.Be very careful at this point, because bud rot can spread to other buds while curing in jars. Because mold spores can survive super high heat and extremely low cold temperatures and still be viable? No. And the only time I suffered bud rot I almost threw it my compost heap. Instead I burned it in a fit of overkill. Thanks guys. I appreciate you. I won't put them in jars yet. Will let them dry without touching each other for a few days first. IS there anything I can do to the buds I will be throwing away? Can I add them with my trimmings to collect kief? Thank you very much!
Ohhhh that sucks. I've lost 10gr for sure so far. Thanks for the reply!Because mold spores can survive super high heat and extremely low cold temperatures and still be viable? No. And the only time I suffered bud rot I almost threw it my compost heap. Instead I burned it in a fit of overkill.
Unfortunately, no. You shouldn't even try to remove parts of a bud that has rot, and smoke the rest. After getting some harvests under your belt, throwing out junk won't be a big deal. I toss everything that isn't top shelf quality when I harvest. But, I also grow more than I can consume, so I can afford to be very picky. Thats one of the reasons people grow their own, so they always get the very best buds, and have more of those top quality buds than they can smoke. I harvest about 3 times what I can smoke between grows, which allows me to skip grows when I want to go on vacation, or if I have a crop failure. Thanks guys. I appreciate you. Don't feel bad. We've all had these problems when first learning to grow. You probably learn more during your first grow than in most books. Here are the losses. Put them in sealed bag because don't want anyone to smell them when I throw them. Lesson learned I guess. Thank you all for the help.View attachment 4851335View attachment 4851336
