I've only ever had crystallised DMT produced from Australian acacia, before trying it for the first time I considered myself an experience tripper, having been in London before operation Julie, and I would take not less than 500 mics of acid, if I could help it. With regard to strength of acid I found it very similar to a high dose of strong mushrooms. So with DMT I thought to myself 'I got this'.
Prior to the first pipe, I started the clock on my hand held gps, to keep an eye on the seconds, I am used to being totally jack-the-ripping and holding it together, i.e. being able to wander around the Victoria & Albert museum. After some 30 seconds I looked at the gps digital clock face, at that point everything looked relatively normal, I was not concerned I thought I could tell how deep this was going to go by keeping an objective eye on the time...
When I glanced at the gps, it looked completely normal, however all the numbers had disappeared, there was just little blocky squares like a QR code and I laughed and strapped in. It was like the DMT deva, was saying to me, 'oh you got this do you?'.
Some time later, I had the opportunity to do about 20 more in a short space of time, and I can say this, DMT has many of the qualities of dreams in that anything can happen. I find it very fun and exciting, but I can see why some people would find it frightening. Unlike acid with DMT, every trip can be radically different.
I remember saying to myself once that the one thing that DMT is not like, is acid. Of course the next DMT right after I said that produced a classic acid trip when it used to be very strong and I found myself saying 'it's exactly like acid'. One time I took it and nothing happened at all, nothing. Next one was off again. Psilocybin and Acid are very predictable. DMT is just predictably fun. The only thing that I never experienced, is that 'elves at the bottom of the garden' idiocy.
Sometimes it is visual, other times it can take you on a journey to the deepest parts of your accessible memory, it is never less than astounding, whereas acid and mushrooms are just predictably fun.
