While that timber looks cool and all it's efficacy is only 2.2um/J. Which is barely better than 1000W DE HPS. Which is pretty bad compared to just about any modern led gavita, fluence, Meiju, HLG a pretty much all do 2.6+umol/j
Yeah it's terrible...While that timber looks cool and all it's efficacy is only 2.2um/J. Which is barely better than 1000W DE HPS. Which is pretty bad compared to just about any modern led gavita, fluence, Meiju, HLG a pretty much all do 2.6+umol/j
Wow........
I didn't say that. I am just saying for the money you could get something more efficient. Put out the same amount of useable plant light and still save money on the power bill about 170W in this case. and takes up less head space.Yeah it's terrible...
There's more to lights than efficiency. Where did you get the numbers for the Timber? I didn't see it listed.I didn't say that. I am just saying for the money you could get something more efficient. I got nothing against the timber I have no doubts at all it grows fine weed.

I just had fried egg and cheese sandwiches for lunch/breakfast. They were fucking fantastic! There ain’t no free lunch.
I know there's more to a light than efficiency but we are comparing to gavita or any of the other competitors with better efficiency and tailored spectrums. Where as the timber is just using Bridgelux Vero cobs. The gavita won't have the lead time like the timber does. I didn't even see what warranty was listed for the timber but it's 5 years on the gavita. There's more to lights than efficiency. Where did you get the numbers for the Timber? I didn't see it listed.
There is here in Portland. That's why we have so many homeless. There ain’t no free lunch.
Look how efficient it is with switches to turn off/on for each cycle. This baby is a whopping 8000 watts and is a steal for $24 on ebay. It even has the separate Veg and Bloom switches.

This product is an upgraded version of the all-optical plant lamp. They mainly use radiation to promote plant growth. The equivalent of ultraviolet radiation is not a bad product. High-efficiency luminescence, more comprehensive exposure to plants, abundant light, and promotion of plant growth.www.ebay.com
Actually they try to lure me into the senior center for free lunch and a bus ride to Fairbanks. There is here in Portland. That's why we have so many homeless.
They tailor spectrums per your request. Mine is 3000k, not 3500k. 3 year warranty.I know there's more to a light than efficiency but we are comparing to gavita or any of the other competitors with better efficiency and tailored spectrums. I got the numbers from the link you posted.

so umol/j is umol/s/watts. So they list it as 2097umol/s and then divide by the wattage of the fixture 950W you 2.2umol/j. Ultimately that's how much plant light you are getting per watt of electricity spent. The higher the number the more light you are getting per watt you spend at the wall.

Ya I get that but all you are getting is 3000K or 3500K spectrum. Other companies provide different kinds of diodes in their light like deep reds, IR, UV and still come out more efficient. They tailor spectrums per your request. Mine is 3000k, not 3500k. 3 year warranty.
