Pretty much a clone of the lights BK78 is using - just Shenzhen umol Tech instead. Probably ~$650 after shipping, customs, etc. They have a US warehouse, so if they have these in stock there, then you may be able to get them quicker. I have the 960 watt version of that light and they're freaking bright (paid ~$730 shipped). Definitely a fan of the bar style lighting vs boards. I leave it set to 650watts and they're brighter than a 1kw DE HPS, better spread, hot spot is smaller and easier to deal with - you can grow to within 2-3 inches of these lights. Better (more even) penetration than HPS IMHO. The only downside to these IMHO is they're heavier than your typical HPS hood, but once you have them mounted it's not an issue. Alot easier to clean than hoods too. I would have got the 650 in the link, but they didn't have them in stock at the time. I dealt with Gary J and he was good to work with.

I didn't say that. I am just saying for the money you could get something more efficient. Put out the same amount of useable plant light and still save money on the power bill about 170W in this case. and takes up less head space.
I got nothing against the timber I have no doubts at all it grows fine weed.

There's more to lights than efficiency. Where did you get the numbers for the Timber? I didn't see it listed.

so i could get by with 1 of those for 3 plants? how much do they draw at the wall? each
Each cover a 4x4 space, 650w each light

People get very defensive when they overpaid for lights to grow weed. I find it’s more of a “hey look at my neat stickers on my light bro” kinda thing. I still have yet to see any crop done by a overpriced fixture that a Shenzhen one can’t compete with.

This baby is a whopping 8000 watts and is a steal for $24 on ebay. It even has the separate Veg and Bloom switches.

I know there's more to a light than efficiency but we are comparing to gavita or any of the other competitors with better efficiency and tailored spectrums. Where as the timber is just using Bridgelux Vero cobs. The gavita won't have the lead time like the timber does. I didn't even see what warranty was listed for the timber but it's 5 years on the gavita.

I got the numbers from the link you posted.

so umol/j is umol/s/watts. So they list it as 2097umol/s and then divide by the wattage of the fixture 950W you 2.2umol/j. Ultimately that's how much plant light you are getting per watt of electricity spent. The higher the number the more light you are getting per watt you spend at the wall.

Look how efficient it is with switches to turn off/on for each cycle.

They tailor spectrums per your request. Mine is 3000k, not 3500k. 3 year warranty.

Ya I get that but all you are getting is 3000K or 3500K spectrum. Other companies provide different kinds of diodes in their light like deep reds, IR, UV and still come out more efficient.

anyway I've seen great grows with timbers like I said. But I don't see the point in buying something that cost the same,is less efficient, takes more room, 2 years less warranty and can be built at home for half the price.

enjoy your lights man I am sure you grow amazing weed.
