Hi all!
Been thinking about making seedling/veg stage tent 2x2, but so many options on LED lights help me pick? What would you recommend?✌

70x70x160 tent only for seedlings and veg.
Thinking about “mars hydro” or “spider farmer”
1000w or maybe 600w would be enough? Or maybe chane light inplut to 25-50%
If you have some other lights in mind please share.
By the way Im budget, so cant get more expensive then those 2 ‍♂

They work great in a 2x2 veg tent. I have one of the mars hydro lights, my cousin gave it to me when he upgraded. It's the 100 watt one, whichever that is...maybe the 600? I think a 150 watt light would veg better, but also not be as great for seedlings and clones, unless it's dimmable. I'm not sure if any of the ones in this price range are dimmable. I'm keeping my bonsai mommies under it now. Actually, I'd skip the mars hydro 600, that thing gets freakishly hot, I think it doesn't have a driver, so maybe try the next model up? Good luck!!

Thanks man great video so Im narrowed down to
Mars hydro TS-1000w (£122)
Spider farmer SF-1000w (£145)
or
Maxisun PB-1000w ($100)
They all dimmable so will work fine for seedling and Im sure even better for veg. 1 out of 3 what would you pick?

The warranties for these brands are worthless. That's why they are eBay/ Amazon only.

Wow this is great board!!
HLG 65 V2 coz cheap under 100 but delivery to UK cost another £40. Doh!!!
Do tou know any other brands specificly for seedlings/veg?
You could try kingbrite... alibaba. I saw a few on there that were 120w dimmable QBs and you request the specific spectrum. Under 100... but shipping and duties might be higher than hlg.

Wow that looks fantastic! Great work!
Thanks @420mlet , yeah just got the idea to do that when looking at quantum boards and figured I could make that. Other than drilling the aluminum, I had the bulb disassembled and the “panel” built in about 1 1/2 hrs. Simple soldering and works like a charm!

If it had to be one of those, SF or maxsisun. I don't know whats a good value in the UK. This is good, but more than you need.

Something like 80w of screw-in LED will work, people often remove the dome for more light. And you can just change bulbs for different color temp.

Or something like this...

Over priced but sunblaster leds work good for seedling/veg/clones.(6500k)
Same with the spider farmer sf300 33watt.(4000k)
65-100w quantum boards would probably be better priced considering the price per watt

Are you saying that I dont need that powerfully spider 1000w led board? Bare in mind it will be for seeds and veg, I know seeds dont need much but veg? Is it more wattage wont do better?

The spider farm would be great, just know it’s a quantum board, it’s only 100watts not 1000
You can get any one of the knock off 100w quantum’s would be fine
