Autos have the potential to be bigger yeilders than photos.

So everything you've run took the same time ego finish flowering?
No. That is more strain dependent and an element of personal preference. I like to flower a little longer than most to get nice and ripe flowers. 10 to 11 weeks for most hybrids and up to 12 weeks for longer ones. But on average, I would say 72 to 73 days of 12/12 plus the initial 21 to 24 days so around 95 days is a good estimate for me for each cycle.

I do them all the same, mostly. Seed in paper towel. 21 to 24 days later, 12/12. I trigger 12/12 when they are maybe 4 inches tall and I get this...every time. Different strains obviously have very different flower structure, but you'll get the point:

Very interesting, I normally veg for 3/4 weeks I've read that that the onset of budding can delayed without vegging, have you ever encountered anything out of the ordinary using your 1st day 12/12 method?

That's pretty much the same as most autos. They are very rarely done in under 80 days.

The way you grow obviously works very well bro, I like your style. But I think the OP has a point, if we are talking per plant autos do have the potential to yield more than a photo over a set number of days.

Look at it like this. Autos are all started off as photos, then the breeders took the recessive autoflowering trait from the ruderalis and added it to the photo plant enabling it to grow, absorb light and uptake nutrient for 18 hours a day for its whole life cycle instead of needing to be reduced to 12 for flowering. It makes logical sense that it would grow faster than the photoperiod plant

Which strain was that mate?

Those yellowing tips look like slight K deficiency.
GSC from fastbuds. Consistently been ready around the 70 day mark.

Actually the opposite. Slight nute burn from the lights being too close.

K def starts on the lower leaves but excesses show on the newest growth.

Do you think silica makes any diff

Do you think silica makes any difference to the stem size? That's one of the things they say that it does. I wouldn't know cause I've never grown without it.
I've noticed a difference in stem strength. Outer walls and overall rigidity. The supercrops I've made seem to heal over in better knuckles but that may not be related. Nice smooth solid structures.
