So I’m just curious here..... you ever see the leds in a tv? Are those a viable option?
Backlights? I’m sure they are similar. Have no clue thoughSo I’m just curious here..... you ever see the leds in a tv? Are those a viable option?
I would love to know , I have a buddy who can get me as many as I like. He works in a salvage yard and busts TVs open all day. LolNuka will know. He’s got the diy game locked
So with just the 2 F strips I would wire in parallel and not in a series correct. Just about to wire these bad boys up. So from the live, positive to bar 1 , and positive to bar 2. Same for the neutral to negative. If you get a Meanwell HLG-185H-48A driver it puts out 185w @ 48v, or ~3.85A. Wiring the driver to two strips in parallel would effectively reduce the amount of current going to each strip in half. The LT-FB24B strips have a max rating of 3.6A, so if you ran a single strip on the driver listed above you would have to slightly dim the IO pot which controls the current. If you ran the driver at 100% wired to two strips, each strip would receive ~1.9A.

Added a ground from driver to board since it will be remote mounted.
What did it cost you in the end?A few more pics of finished product.
Heat reasons mainly, yes. I like to run a cooler tent. 76-78°. I have it in a 5x5 as a back filler next to a Photobio MX.Are you mounting it off board for heat, or other reasons?
Including shipping, around $250-260. Since I now have all the connectors, wires, thermal tape, etc. I could do another one around $200-210.What did it cost you in the end?
I've been curious about then as well. I noticed their strips have the orsam diodes for the red, pretty interesting. May give them a try on the next build up.These guys have some pre-built strips, diy builds , info , links. Ect. Somewhat the same idea as the other link I posted but has different products.
Def going to try using those X channel extrusions as sinks/frame next time.I've been curious about then as well. I noticed their strips have the orsam diodes for the red, pretty interesting. May give them a try on the next build up.
