Dark before harvest.. is it worth it?.

Just wondering if there's any growers on here giving dark before harvest. What were the improvements when you did it?

If anybody has done a side by side and blind tested the results that would be legendary.

Okay well I'm going to take you through a train of thought here, and you let me know what you think...

If I were to say 48 hours of darkness, by what mechanism and to what result would that improve your harvest? If it's an improvement surely it can be measured?

Now if 48 hours did that, why not 72?

Why not a week?

Why not two?

Why not shut off the lights after veg?

what would you like it to do? Harvest time? Some of the crazy things people think might be good for a plant....its a plant. Tomato farmers pull tomatoes on cloudy days only because they are more juicy....he he he

That is funny. You took the laugh. higher quality? oh boy. For shits and grins i am old school as in back in the baggie days had a different taste to me vs jar. So, after a month or so in a jar I put it in a baggie. Week later I swear the taste was better and more in depth. IDK....

I find it tastes best if I smoke a blunt when I'm having a dump. Laxatives are best for getting the real quality.

I wouldn't bother doing all these tricks before harvest. I'd recommend just perfecting your environment throughout veg & flower, harvest at the right time (I normally like to push 10 weeks for density). Then you'll end up with great flower.

The desire to maximize salable yield has pushed people into trying literally *anything* to increase the value of their ‘product’, but with the current multiple layers of confusion, you’ll probably do best just handling it like a regular plant....
