rockwool might be dry clones shouldn't be wilty in a dome filled with humidity.
are you pulling them out to look at the roots? stop
whats the temp?
did you pre soak rockwool at 5.4?
why are they in a dome on top of the wrong size plugs.

I presoaked the rockwool in RO water for about 9 hours. 75 ambient temp. I just cut them a day ago so idk if they rooted yet. Hlg led lighting

Cause the holes are too small and I'm not buying a whole new tray. Well maybe eventually, there were some potential cuttings that would start the clone out at like 8 inchest tall. But ya that's why

Then take the plug tray out. I've never done Rockwool but they still need a small amount of water. That way they don't dry out completely. It will take more than a day to show roots.

Betski I might, there's a lot of water at the basin as I wanted it to stay super humid. That other dude reminded me to mist the rockwool, but everything is still pretty soaked in there. But I will be remoistening it daily that's forsure

Dump the extra water. At most you need a quarter inch. Don't water daily. They will suck up what they need when they need it. Too much and you will drown them. You can let them dry out a little but don't let them go completely dry. You will kill the little root hairs.

Like I've said I've never done rw... so maybe someone who's better versed with them can add a little bit more input. Maybe an 8th of an inch of water. When the water dries up and rw starts to dry maybe add an 8th again.. thats what I do with rapid rooters when I'm using a propagation dome

dont let rockwool sit in water
you should be using the right sized starter plugs and not the larger size and put them into the tray you have. then they stay up off the water. add a small amount of water to the bottom of tray. make sure plugs have moisture. set it and forget it. check back daily and open the dome for maybe 5-20mins. after 3 days open the vents half way wait another day or so and let the plugs start to loose moisture then close the vents again and water the plugs lightly with a rooting formula eg rapid start gh. if you dont have that then an a+b flower will work. but make sure to mix very weak eg advanced nutes id use 1ml per ltr or less.
once roots form you can add mycorrhyzal and that will super start your cuts roots.

75 ambient temp. so your room is 75? set your heat mat to 76 or 77 to get that condensation action happening.
i like to run my room at 68 so i set my dome temp to 76 and its a fog factory in there
thats a 5 day root
i wouldnt be expecting the same results as me i have my cloning dialed in pretty good. if i were you id focus on just getting cuts to take right now then dial it in a bit better next time.
always take more cuts than you need and keep the first rooters.
that theres a beauty zombie kush from ripper
i like to run my room at 68 so i set my dome temp to 76 and its a fog factory in there

Damn that's nice. Ya the rockwool I originally had was good for this tray, but then I found better rockwool but its bigger. I got a cheapo heat mat so I cant do that. I turned up my light tho to raise the temp, I figured my mommas could do with less light while I get this cloning thing down for the next couple days. My dome has stayed steady foggy tho since I built the condensation in the dome before I cut the clones, also got a acrylic cover to diffuse the light a tad more as I read too much light will cause the clone to try and photosynthesize

you can look up inkbird digital heat controller.
i ran rockwool for clones for years and just found them too be high maintenance. i just run rapid rooters now. ya they cost a bit more but i get roots fn fast and hard. plus you xan literally just use non ph water with nothing in it (i just use ro) and get clones rooted in a week. plus i use promix so theres no weird dry ass rockwool plug sticking out the pot surrounding my stem. check them out might work better for you plus theyd fit in your tray proper.

Yee I was actually gonna ask for a recommendation for a new heat mat as I bought vivosun before I knew how generic they were, thank you. I might try the rooters cause a week for a clone sounds amazing.

remember to put the probe inside the hole with the cube so it gets root zone temp. not ambient temp
to get the dome part to 76 the root zone will be like 82 or more and cook your plants. see it all time guys hang the probe in the air middle of the dome. wrong.
i use vivosun heat mats. they sell the heat controller as well seperate.

I feel this. How often do you water the rapid rooters? This is going to be my first time using them. I'm a little anxious about popping these seeds because I have no backup mother for the first time ever.
