Hi.
I grow growers choise, frosty gelato.
Out of 9 plants, 7 are growing bananas after 5 weeks into flowering..

I accepted this loss, but i wonder if its genetics or stress?

The only stress i can think about is possible light pollution from extension cord light switch.

What do you think?

It's probably genetics. But don't worry much, there's not enough time to grow seeds. Take them to harvest and change suppliers.

Those red lights are probably the cause. Cover them with electrical tape.

Without grow details I’ll say it’s something about the environment you have. Stress.

What details would you need?

4x4 grow tent under lumatek attis 600w pro. On 75%,so max lux is around 60k,not more.
On average 55-50% humidity, 27 degrees Celsius when lights on, around 21 when lights off.
Biobizz light mix soil with biotabs nutrients. (i did once over feed them with big buds stimulator. Recommended 1-3ml, i gave them 4ml.)

Checked my logs again. Switched to 12/12 on 6th of February.
Yeah, I'm definitely finishing them off.. Hoping for as less seeds as possible.
Then cleaning the whole tent to remove any potential polen leftovers..

All you really need is plain water to make pollen non viable.

^^^^ what he said....get a spray bottle and put water in it......spray the plants leaves and such down....

honestly it could be a number of thing.....Genetics is possible cause cannabis plant inherently have a trait call preservation in them, where they wanna preserve themselves, another is stress or shall i say high stress.......those are the things i've seen honestly.....

Likely something else. Like when I stressed out two plants last year due to having to clear the tent for a seed run of IBL Durban. Nanners in both halfway through flower. This is a stable strain. Grown before by me and others. No problem until then. I knew immediately why and who caused it. This is important if a guy doesn’t want it to happen again. At least in my mind.

Durban turned out perfect. Not the two beautiful Tillamook Strawberry.

i am not spraying any plant in flower with bud period. end of story. unless dealing with a bug issue. unless you are a known breeder with experience Id layoff comments like that.

these days nobody takes the time to F whatever a plant to be stable over time before releasing public. They are in need of money. So many strains have these bananas etc issue of non stability. Heirloom veggies are called that for a reason. The pain of a growing industry. No biggie if later in grow and usually don;t have time to produce seed.
