ChemD ?

So an older guy I know has some great cuts. He has a legit, real deal ChemD cut that might be around 20 years old, (it's absolutely fire, by the way). His ChemD has a variegated fan leaf mutation with some fans being paler than the other half of the same fan leaf. Wanted to see if any of you have seen this type of mutation in the Chem? He also has a 20 year old legit bubblegum, I'm trading him a few of my cuts for his ChemD and others, here his ChemD in veg-

Ya I am 100%, he's a really good dude, I've known him for years. Have you heard of this mutation trait in the original clone-only Chems from the early 2000s? This dude goes way back I'm the weed game and is somewhat a legend, and this exact cut goes way back most likely to the early 00s as well. Wonder if this cut goes back to the original 4??? I think I'm going to grab the bubblegum as well. Hopefully some of the ChemD lovers will pop in here, I mean who isn't a chemD lover?

The D does this for sure. It shows up in plenty of plants where the real D is used.

I know a few people have said/shown that the variegation started to appear on other plants if they shared the same clone machine. I haven't experienced that with plants from seed with the D involved.

That D is definitely worth doing what you have to do to get it. Bubblegum on the other hand, I remember that being the new thing, but it never came close to living up to the hype.

Chem D was popped in 2001...

if this guy got the cut 20 years ago he should be able to tell you who he got it from since so few at it back then... looks like the cut, but there have been countless Chem D hybrids over the last 20 years so having the history makes the cut more valuable IMO.

Ya so said the cut could go back that long, I'll get more info when I talk to him in person. I will say this- we are in the area the original chem was popped and found in early 2000s or when ever it was. I'm texting with him now and asked it smells like when it is finished, this is what he said, stinky armpit, garbage fuel is the best way to describe it.

Ya I feel you I was never that interested in the bubblegum myself, but figured why not

It's a better hash maker/breeder than flower producing plant in the current flavor climate.

I'd assume its the good bubblegum clone, not the one on the Cali menus in the early 2010s.

The D clone will have the variegation just like that. That one looks stressed, it will not be as bad if the plant isnt stressed. When you get it happy it will stop or only be on a leaf or two. The clone has a problem with mg uptake, so be ready with mgso4. Its been around a long time, and still blows most of the new cuts out of the water.

Yup I sure will ya I thought it looked stress as well, I'm sure it's a bit finicky being a oldtimer.

I say yes. My pineapple diesel from topdawg that has chemdawg in the lineage did the same in veg and flower and a considerable amount no matter the stress lvl

I received a legit cut of the D but I could not get it to root for the life of me. I swear it was in a dome a month and a half before I finally gave up on it.

I swear cloning in a dome never worked for me but aero cloning works 100% for me using floraflex v1/v2 1g per gallon. Roots come in 7 days after cutting
