What are the top 5 LED for a 4 x 4 on the market?

With money being no issue and no DIY. I've been told these are top but I want to be sure.

1) HLG Scorpion Diablo
2) Gavita 1700e
3) Chilled Growcraft x6
4) Optic 650 slim
5) ROI 680

I'm sure there are a few others out there as well. I don't care who is #1 or who is #5. I just need a list of the top 5 (in your opinion). Warranty is important as I see many companies are starting to move up to 5 years plus. I want to be able to call someone if shit breaks and have it replaced quickly. Once I get enough replies I will study all the LED carefully and then make my choice.

Your list is good, gavita is maybe a bit lacking in the bang for buck department.
Optic and roi: I've never seen their efficiency claims backed up by proper testing.

Honestly, every time I see a list like this without Black dog being mentioned I feel like it's a win.

Best is a relative term.....that being said, I'm using an American made Timber Fatty. It consists of 9 100 watt cob fixtures. I have it configured with 5-1750k, 2-4k and 2-3k fixtures. The color temperature averages out to about 2,500k. That spectrum is not far an HPS flowering profile. I get excellent frost, bulk and weight from it. It has a 3 year real warranty (i.e. the company doesn't dick you around when trying to get something fixed).
You are able to custom configure it to your specifications. The cost including shipping and riu discount was around $1,100.
I owned an HLG Rspec 600 Diablo as well. I preferred the Timber for it's light penetration and evenness of light dispersion. I've got nothing bad to say about HLG. Their customer service on a return was first rate.
In my opinion Gavita's are way overpriced. You won't go wrong with any of the lights on your list. I looked at most of them before I bought the Fatty.
I customized my Fatty by adding this Solurecure UV kit to it.

I’ve been considering using cobs. Just how hot do they run?

I can't speak for other COB fixtures. However, the Timber Fatty disperses heat very well. Each fixture has a pin style heat sink and the frame is aircraft grade aluminum that acts as a heat sink too. Plus the fixture is dimmable. So, at it's full wattage your going to have some heat. It's hard to hide 900 watts of power. That being said, the heat is very manageable.

I love how you used the cable ties to mount the Solacure UV kit fixtures!

You may already know this, if not:
Use the black cable ties, they are UV rated.

I have some black wire ties holding together a section of my large dog kennel together outdoors for over 5 years.
They just went through -12 F February here in Oklahoma.

Thanks for the tip. The clear were the longest I had and wanted to make sure that I got a good grip. A little bit of shade tree rigging there...
