Probably par numbers yes maybe not efficiency but still they claim 2.7umol/j and for $589 with US based shipping and warranty these LED prices are getting nutsIt should have better numbers due to the extra 120 watts it’s pushing over the F8 no?
Yeah man I agree. It’ll be definitely putting a hurting on the higher priced led.Probably par numbers yes maybe not efficiency but still they claim 2.7umol/j and for $589 with US based shipping and warranty these LED prices are getting nuts
I'm used to HIDs so there will be a learning curve I'm sure. It will be a month to 6 weeks before I can start the journal-I've got at least that long left on my current grow, and I'm just mixing up a batch of living soil right now that needs some time to cook-I'm replacing my fabric pots with a single 4x4 bed-so this journal will be fun, totally organic plus new light.haha, i will follow the grow.
give the light a fair chance by playing with the intensity till you find your sweet spot.
dont nail yourself on a number, i am sure you read your plants well and adjust as they need.
why i say this, i think these modern lights are like chemical fertilizer, good, but could be overdone, less is sometimes more bla bla.
I'm was the same way, I was torn! I compared par tests for 4x4s for a couple of days. Oh, just an fyi the guy who was given the test light from cocoforcannabis started a youtube grow journal using it, he's got it in a 5x5 right now vegging his plants, so you can see it in action as his grow progresses-i forgot his name but it was easy to find. I'm sure you'll see a bunch more reviews-the rep said they are selling out fast after the cocoforcannabis review. This thread has become my obsession. Buying new lights soon and was pretty decided on what I was getting until I saw this, but don’t think I have the guts to go with this and save the money until I see some others give it a go. Ha.
Thanks! I checked out a journal he started with it, but things weren’t too far along. I’ll definitely keep an eye on the YouTube stuff from him and watch your grow whenever you get things going with the light. I would love to save the money, that’s for sure.I'm was the same way, I was torn! I compared par tests for 4x4s for a couple of days. 600w of hps. And 600w of led are really different. It's an interesting light honestly, but hard to buy with virtually no reviews or track record. And the mystery drivers aren't thrilling either...kind of defeats the purpose of trying to cool my tent down by switching from 600 watts of HID though, esp with internal drivers.
Tru dat, plus, I realized I'd only be running it at 80% based on the 4x4 par map, so that dropped the temps a lot-it'll be positively chilly compared to my current light. Thanks for the input!600w of hps. And 600w of led are really different.
HPS gives off so much radiant heat it's crazy. With LED a good inline fan can suck the heat right off the fixture out of the tent pretty easy.
