I grow from veg to harvest under 3500 to 3000 with added far red

I'll be adding a bar of UV and royal blue for colour and frost production

Stoners new panels are the nuts they have everything !!

Honestly wouldn't have taken the leap first time except for you building one at the same time lol yea I'm loving these new boards, temps are down and the girls are praying to the light.
Might push em a bit harder for their next top dressing, no signs of burns or anything so far and I wanna find their limit. The new stuff I'm using is granulated rather than powdered tho so I wonder if that's making a difference

I don't adjust my lights that often, I know people say you should higher em with the plants but the effort of fiddling with pulleys is a pain lol with stronger lights you shouldn't need to tho, just turning em up would have the same effect

Hi All, I've done a grow or two recently using COBS I bought a couple of years back. I see everyone is raving about quantum boards now and I want to try one. Where abouts are ye getting them here? I don't want to go Ali express route

I just got a new set from aliexpress lol they arrived in less than a week tho and are doin the job. Paid 270 for 2 sets of 2 boards, total 480 watts, but they're dimmable so I only run em between 50-80%

I have a custom attic space so it's a bit of an odd size, sloped roof with little headroom. That's why I'm thinking low profile QB setup. The footprint is probably closest to a 3x3 tent though.

Did you get caught for customs on that delivery stoner? The reason I didn't want to go though ali express is that I made an order for other parts from China a few weeks ago and it spent a full 3 weeks going from depot to depot with TNT and I had to provide proof of purchase etc for customs. If that were lights I'd have been a bit nervous lol.
I also see yours werent very "descreetly" packaged

I'll see if I can find similar on amazon but with the way customs checks are now I'll likely have a UK order opened by customs too!

Yea I have to saw the QBs give off very little heat!
No they had an option to ship from Spain so no customs on it, and a 2 year warranty. The packaging was the only thing thatd put me off tbh. I left em feedback on that and AFAIK ya can leave a comment for the seller before ya order.
That said, if yave got a bigger budget there are probably more efficient lights ya could afford, with longer warranties and newer parts. My boards run samsung lm301b chips, but the latest lights would probably use lm301h as they were developed to be more water resistant. Same for the driver its a knock off meanwell driver, does the same job but costs less. I also built the frames for my boards to save money, I hate spending money lol.

Lm301b and lm391h are the same chips it's marketing to pay weed tax by sellers

I had citizen clu048 cobs and they pound a 600hps watt for watt

You can/could up the Ml amps with a new driver and push them harder if your cooling solution is up to par

After you mentioning the knock off meanwell driver, I checked the one on my cobs and it's also a knock off. Never noticed until now and I have them about 5 years

I found this site earlier www.greengate.ie
It says they're based in Ireland. Only one light size but I think 240w would be good enough for my space. Anyone buy off here before or know anything about them?
