The lung room can be the room the tent is already in.
I just took all the advice yall gave me and tomorrow im building a box that will lay on top of my tent, my plan is to build a plywood box thats airtight with the dimensions to fit another carbon filter. It’ll be a bot with a filter in it with a hole to fit a 6 inch duct to exauhst. I think i have some duct fittings in my warehouse already, ill have to check. Ill post tomorrow with the end results. I think itll be pretty easy to construct.. thanks guys ill keep yall posted for sure. Thanks for the advice

I wasn't suggesting that anything needed to be built at all. Just vent to the room that you're already in, then add an additional fan/filter to vent out the window.

That would definitely be asking for trouble where im at. The filters dont seem to work that well as a single unit i was hoping to double them up in an attempt to further eliminate odor

The bigger the filter the better. It's all about the amount of activated charcoal the air passes thru.

I've used the vivosun filters and they work just fine. A filter is basically just a can packed with charcoal. I used a 4 inch Vivosun for a year and a half without any odor escaping the tent unless I opened the door. I've upgraded to a six inch setup using another Vivosun filter and there is absolutely no odor unless you open the door to the tent. The guy at the hydro store can rant all he wants about Vivosun but he doesn't know what he's talking about. I've used their stuff for years without any issues at all as have many other growers.

Passive intake for negative air pressure then Filter-Fan-Hood-Exit.

Vivosun tent, Vivosun ballast, hood, and light, Vivosun 6 inch carbon filter, Active Air 6 inch fan hooked to speed controller. No problems at all with the equipment and no smell in the garage unless the tent is opened.

@Billytheluther you can see in xtsho's configuration, the fan is pulling into the filter and pushing through the light hood all the way out of the tent. Since downstream from the fan the pressures inside the exhaust flow are all positive relative to the volume of the tent, nothing leaks into the exhaust flow on the downstream side.

Thats the main reason i started the thread was to see if anyone else was having issues with the vivosun filters..
I just replaced my 6” Vivo . It only lasted about 13-14 weeks of 24/7 during flower. Haven’t tried cleaning it yet but I’m over them. I’ve had problems with tents in the past too with pinhole lighleaks/zipper.
-Went with ACinfinity , since then my inline has been on low and no problems/smell at all. I’d suggest either cleaning yours or sending it back and spending the extra 10-20$ on acinfinity:joint:
