Topping VS not Topping

So i have 2 plants, same strain, same age, same schedule, same all. I topped one of them only once and the other i left alone. it looks like the one i left alone is producing alot more bud Than the one i topped once. What i am wondering is other then keeping the plant short is it not worth topping a plant only once if your expecting a bigger yield? Or should i just leave it alone?.......pics attached

On the one you topped, you completely destroyed apical dominance. All of the nutes and hormones that were headed to the main cola are now being distributed to the remaining branches. Which should cause them to develop into full colas off their own. They may not be as big as the one cola of the untopped plant but can be trained to produce more cola points. Also, auto or photo?

hotrod is right on track. you need to learn about topping. clearly you mucked up the process. After topping wait a week before flipping to flower. you need multiple topping in veg starting early. look up tutorials. learning curve. ALWAYS better to top for yield.
