Another newbie looking for trichome advice

a) I can no longer call myself a patient man in good faith. These last few weeks have been agony waiting.


b)Somebody please tell me I don't have much longer to wait. I've included the best closeups as well as regular shots all from the same plant.

Screw the damn trichomes for now. Those plants have weeks to go just by their appearance. Don't get caught up in that trichome chart and amber this or cloudy that. You don't even need to be looking for some time.

Trichomes don't even matter until the plant is obviously close to done and that plant isn't.

Amber comes from a lot of reasons, not just because it may be ready...touching buds for instance, too much heat, pollination, etc.
Overall ripeness should be considered...length of flowering, swell completeness to the buds, trichomes...

That damn trichome chart floating around showing when to harvest does more harm than good as newer growers start looking for amber when the plants are obviously weeks away from harvest. Then they find some amber here and there and chop their plants way too early then post in the Harvesting and Curing section asking why their buds are all fluffy and smell like hay.

I definitely agree. I’ve seen too many here who are new to growing chop way too soon. Based on breeder claims and/or trichs. I’m talking weeks early.

Some of us old stoners will even let trics get very dark just for the narc effect. Patience...it's worth it.

And some of us don't even bother looking at the trichs. After decades of growing I don't need a damn scope to know when the plant is done.

I don't know any seasoned grower that looks at trichs, you can just tell by looking at the plant-it just looks ripe. Yours do not, friend! No one can say how much longer because these things happen at their own pace, but "weeks" is a good guess. Good luck!

Looks like around a month to go. Going to have to keep working on that patience you have a long time to go.

That’s a lot of greenery in there! Need to wait until pretty much all your leaves are yellow and falling off. Your buds will look denser and the white hairs on the tip of your buds won’t be so pronounced.
