Lol. Read it againthey don't even say it's for rot prevention on their website, more like a system cleaner.
"Cultured Solutions UC Roots is a hydroponic mineral de-scaler that prevents and reduces mineral deposits in hydroponic media and irrigation equipment."
lol. huh?Lol. Read it again
It’s not for root rot.... it’s to keep your medium and equipment “clean” so you don’t get root rot and other things as well. It will help get rid of it all the same. It will remove any contamination from the root rot and hopefully allow his roots to heal.lol. huh?
why do they call it UC roots? It’s not for root rot.
that's quite a leap. the description doesn't say any of that.It will help get rid of it all the same. It will remove any contamination from the root rot and hopefully allow his roots to heal.
I use pool shock but i've never added it straight to the res. How often to to re-apply it with this method?Pool shock. .01 grams per gallon.
Get it at Wal-Mart. 1kg lasts years for a small res.
H202 is expensive. Takes a lot to get through a grow.
Bleach works. Just that liquid can make a mess.
Only problem with shock is you want a .01gram scale. Amazon has one for 12$.
Dose every 3 or 4 daysI use pool shock but i've never added it straight to the res. How often to to re-apply it with this method?
How much Southern Ag do you use per gallon? For Bennies. Thank youi used to use Dutchmaster Zone when i started many years ago. then they got bought out by Fuji and they were supposed to start making it again.
by then i had switched to pool shock.
and now southern ag to go the bacteria route.
i use 1mL per waterfarm (2 gallons) once a week. which is overkill. 1mL per 10 to 20 gallons is usually good. How much Southern Ag do you use per gallon? For Bennies. Thank you
Household bleach is sodium hypochlorite, you want calcium hypochlorite as sodium can cause lockout.I just use plain bleach throuh a pipette. No more than 3 drops per gallon of water.
Last grow I would mix 1 part gff to 20 parts water then from that mixture do 1ml per gal. In the rez. Worked perfectly. This grow nothing is working and ready to just throw on the towel. How much Southern Ag do you use per gallon? For Bennies. Thank you
I've been sprinkling .02 grams per gallon of pool shock into my res every 3 days. My res is in my grow room so it stays 80+ degrees F. The pool shock has worked like a charm.Last grow I would mix 1 part gff to 20 parts water then from that mixture do 1ml per gal. In the rez. Worked perfectly. This grow nothing is working and ready to just throw on the towel.

I dilute my Southern Ag GFF down to around a 1:8 ratio with water (that's what fits in a tiny bottle I have), then use that dilution at 1ml/gal.i use 1mL per waterfarm (2 gallons) once a week. which is overkill. 1mL per 10 to 20 gallons is usually good.
i don't bother watering it down: my bottle lasts about a year.I dilute my Southern Ag GFF down to around a 1:8 ratio with water (that's what fits in a tiny bottle I have), then use that dilution at 1ml/gal.
I'm sure it has a shelf life, but don't know what it is. I think you're good for the year time you use it though. I believe that my watered down version has a much shorter life, which is why I mix it into tiny bottles. I only water it down, because it's easier to work with when I just want to do gallon or two mixes and stuff.i don't bother watering it down: my bottle lasts about a year.
while we're talking about it though, have you ever heard/read if it expires at some point once the seal is broken?
gotcha. i just use a 1mL syringe and shoot it directly into the waterfarms.I'm sure it has a shelf life, but don't know what it is. I think you're good for the year time you use it though. I need a smaller syringe. 10ml is the smallest I have.gotcha. i just use a 1mL syringe and shoot it directly into the waterfarms.
