It will definitely have enough power to cover a 5X5. I would suggest at least 30" hang height on that light since all the boards packed into one area. That thing will throw down a big central hot spot for sure.

I will do my best. I need to get my light meter on it and see what she comes out to. But she’s bright as all get out. So I shouldn’t need any supplemental lighting ?

Reviewed light was 720watts. Site has changed the led on the site to a 760 watt fixture.

Maybe one is going from specs and the other from actual light draw? I'd email the rep if you're curious, they are definitely the same light.

Djcoco's review had a 720w light draw on his killawatt when it was listed on the site as a 720w fixture. You can also find the same fixture on Alibaba. I think they are just selling whatever the latest shipment from China is. Not knocking their lights.

There are quite a few of the same exact design same diodes with some wattage variance options. Stateside Volt is also selling one that looks like a branded version of the same fixture for 650. I'm not 100% it's the same exact fixture but the specs and use of 301z+ diodes along with the central housing looking exactly the same would suggest they could all be coming from the same factory in China.

You bought the diy kit of the 600rspec. Same thing. Here's a good par breakdown video. Guys testing seems to show that a 36 inches above the canopy is gonna be best for that light in 5x5

I think closer will be fine but you're gonna go below 500 par in the corners of a 5x5. You'll get better across the whole canopy results at 36. Closer and you'll end up with a little less dense outer plants. It's your choice. At their recommended 30 inch hanging height you're only gonna get some higher readings in.the center at the expense of uniformity. Nugs are still gonna be plump in the center at 30 or 36

Ok guys n gals.... I finally decided and ordered up all my parts. And I will be building a 1100+ watt light. Wish me luck on getting it all in one piece that’s not a monstrous thing that can’t be lifted. Lol
