While I agree that side lighting is fine, why don't you scrog instead? You have a ton of wasted canopy space in there. Plus those plants are so small that you're basically just lighting them at an angle instead of side lighting.Side lights for the win. Mature bud down to the stump View attachment 4864812
But it's REALLY bright under there now, and it's only 100wI've seen lots if people use side lighting but not underneath. The light dispersion from below just be awful. I can't see it as efficient at all. You'd be better off lollipopping and letting the plant focus on the upper buds.
Yeah I’ve done scrog many times. While I agree that side lighting is fine, why don't you scrog instead? You have a ton of wasted canopy space in there. Plus those plants are so small that you're basically just lighting them at an angle instead of side lighting.
I just noticed the scrog net. What's the point of that?Anybody add extra LEDs or supplemental lights under their plants or on the sides?
Is it worth it the extra electricity?
Is the light really efficient at all coming from the bottom of the plant?
Anybody have experience, or thoughts on this?

Not too far off from what your saying, the LED overall is only 100w, just concentrated in the center lolPersonally I would clean out a lot of that underbrush, and skip the under lighting. Having the light so close to water pipes would worry me a bit too. I think side lighting would help, but I'd keep it minimal, maybe 25watts of LED strips per wall for a total of 100watts of side lighting would be the max I'd prolly go for.
I just don't think that under lighting is as effecting as side-lighting or traditional top lighting. Not too far off from what your saying, the LED overall is only 100w, just concentrated in the center lol
I have the light suspended a few inches off the ground, and it is atleast 3-6" away from any of the PVC (which has 63°f water flowing through it)
I do have some decent 4' strip LED lights though, they only pull 42w each
For sure, no disagreement.I just don't think that under lighting is as effecting as side-lighting or traditional top lighting.
