Is it just my area, or are people really that stupid as to believe that 'Dro, Hydro, and other such nonsense names are strains? And if it aint purple, it aint shit?

It seems to me that if I gave oregano an exotic name and soaked it in purple food coloring, I could sell it for double what dank sells for.

My last grow produced buds that were light green, red hairs, and fluffy. And the smell would knock you over. But since I wasn't calling it 'dro, or hydro, and it didn't have any purple in it everyone said it was just mids. That is until they actually smoked some, THEN it was an entirely different story.

How in the hell did people get so hung up on bullshit info? Or am I giving John Q more credit for intelligence than he deserves?

Purple buds are notoriously less potent strains. Name branding is becoming very popular these days too. Every strain I see for sale people have to give it some name even if they have no idea what i really is. I like to know th genetics of what I'm smoking but only if it is truly known.

Yeah I love that kind of stuff. I always hear people saying how hydro makes the buds better. People don't understand that if I were to put a clone in soil and a clone in hydro they would both be pretty much the same. But the hydro would prob be done quicker.

They dont understand that its actualy saves them money to buy better quality cause they need less smoke. they think any purple is cream (all purple around here is pretty much dead pig from cold) shit people spray they weed with blueberry smellin shit pass it off as blueberry, wet the weed to add mass, add coke cola to make bud sticky shit like that. hell i made hash with straight shake (didnt filter out the leaves just grinded em up to powder) payed $20 for a ounze of shake made it into a ounze of hash sold it for $250

Be thankful. In most parts of Australia, all anyone knows is it's either 'hyge' or 'bush'. It doesn't matter if it's prime quality indoor soil grown Powerplant, it's 'hyge' as far as the heathens are concerned. Ask a dealer what strain they're selling and you'll get a blank expression. "Uh, it's bush dude". Or "it's good hyge". We live in the stone age.
Back in the seventies we could buy 'Mullumbimby Madness', 'Cairns Purple', real Moroccan, Afghani or locally pressed hash. Even hash oil was common.
Luckily we have finally got a decent supplier that sells us very good quality indoor grown bud at a reasonable price. I still don't know it's pedigree, but it is consistently good quality of the same strain.

If I'm dealing with a serious conosuer then I get specific but other than that its kush. Everybodies messed the game up and nobodies strong enough to change the rules. And as long as I am providing the finest quality I can achieve, I can sleep well despite the outrageous amount I'm gonna charge those suckers this go 'round.

No body knows names of anything. In the city I have found only one that the name was know(Orange Kush). I have come across some purple dank, but I have no clue what it was... Swag varies in price but 60 to 70 is a good advrage for an Oz. A quarter of Dank, whatever thay have at the time is 100 at least. The Police will crush you if they catch you. Hash is expensive, I just bought a gram for thanksgiving and wish I could have gotten more, but I'm not paying another 40 for just 2 grams and shouldn't have for 1. But I'll leave judgement until it's smoke.
The country is even worse. I got into an arguement with a woman who said Hydro was ten times better than the Orange Kush. I tried to explain to her that Hydro is how it's grown not a type. In the country you can only get swag. and the best price is going to be about 80 to 100 an Oz. Don't have to worry much about police out there tho.

Know most people don't care, I just wanted to voice my same frustration.

Not to mention, I don't cut back on my quality, I just play the name game. How would you feel if you grew some kill WW and somebody told you that WW is supposed to be white? I put as much in every crop that I produce but if the person you're dealing with just don't know better? I'd rather do that then argue with somebody about something I know I'm right about. Or better yet, tell me my smoke is bull just because I don't call it Kush?

IMO if someone calls good weed Hydro or Kush or purple than its good weed to me. thats all the "normal" pot head cares about. Now thats ive experienced what real weed tastes like and how it gets you high (Hydro closet grow Dutch blueberry) I really have started to look at weed alot differnet.

Bottomline people are ignorant. They dont care as long as it fucks them up
