@canndo is referring to , I wait for my agar to fully colonize and then take samples from the line between two obvious spores . Never had any issues getting my samples to fruit and never had any spores not mingle on the agar, I do suppose it could happen though, And as far as I know there are no different sexes of spores, it just requires 2 to work .
