imo your best bet is to find Sam's Skunk x o haze. I don't trust Todd to have what the label says to be 100% authentic. Ask everyone about his skunk lol.

I've given hundreds of the Sam freebies away. Make a thread somewhere cooler (that allows trading) asking for old heads from icmag/seed boutique to check their stashes. Germ rates are gonna be trash but at least you know most plants are pushing 100 days because they are legit.

Todd's haze is Sam's haze.

> Original Haze was first bred in 1969 in the Santa Cruz Mountains by a gentleman named G.
> G exchanged seeds with Skunkman Sam who saved the variety and turned the world onto Haze.

> I begot the variety directly from Skunkman Sam and they are the original 3 way Colombian Haze that was first bred in 1969 in the Santa Cruz mountains by Sam's neighbor "G". Sam kept them through IBL breeding since the 70's to preserve the variety.

> This variety contains no Afghan/Indica, it is unlike most everything in modern cannabis.

> Please note: Original Haze is an amazing variety that is best used for breeding. You will no doubt find some wonderful examples of Haze, but do note that there is a lot of variation in the variety and that is what makes it such a great plant to breed with.

I like Oldtimer's haze a lot. There is a lot of genetic diversity preserved in those seeds. With these old strains I wonder how much of a sample were actually grown out and preserved-it's a major problem with landrace preservation too. One male and a couple of females just doesn't cut it? We need more professional horticulturists involved in marijuana breeding and preservation.

I stand corrected. If I could edit I would. I'll explain my reasoning below.

A couple people I know were very disappointed with his rks. You only get so many chances to produce what people are expecting before they expect nothing. My tolerance for bullshit is low, especially with old school shit... no one like chasing ghosts.

Agreed, and I think he was pretty clear on the RKS not living up to his own expectations. Also, it came from Heime Cheeba, which was very clear in the description also.

That said, I bought that one too "just because", along with all the other things I can get my hands on, LOL. I run the Shoreline OG original cut and it's got that burned rubber tire and road-side ditch skunk smell, but like the RKS, probably not as good as the super loud original.

The haze crosses I've run from Todd have been stellar so far but I need to work through more of them for sure.

Right on, I know Todd's intentions are good but the mark can be missed.

Hopefully his project does well, not rooting for failure at all.

Todd’s skunk is legit and it’s from skunkman Sam. Only problem is, the line had already been “deskunked” by the time Todd got them. That being said, I’m only seeing positive things about his haze. I would go for it!

I'm a huge haze fan and I'd say if you're unsure about them, just go with Ghost Train Haze to be honest, it's got that old school haze smell and flavor from the Nevilles haze and it's some strong shit.

Sometimes people post good reviews just because it's nostalgic for them. A lot of older strains haven't lived up to their hype tbh....they're mostly weaker strains, but carry great flavors sometimes....for instance I recently had legit lambsbreath and it tasted very unique, lemongrass flavor that was actually really good and it DID get me high, don't get me wrong, but it was average in reality. I would grow it to cross it though because the flavor it brings. But I feel original haze would be the same way, a slight disappointment. And as a haze fan that's heard all the legendary fairytales surrounding different hazes - it was crossed with other great strains for a reason, to make greater stains. It succeeded.
