My guess is that Trump would have gotten dirt to hold over him and appointed him to some Intel position.
thinking about who he can groom:spew:

so jeffrey epstein but instead of using ghislaine maxwell, a female recruiter, he's using his Congressional pin to take his pick of who he wants..this is quite literally the worst of the worst next to a cop using his badge.

his laptop and/or home pc holds secrets he can't get rid of..if the FBI was smart they'd confiscate NOW.

Hahaha, my buddy loved it and recommended it, but I've never sat down and watched an episode. What's a hook episode you can recommend? Like if you were wondering about Bob's Burgers, I'd recommend either A River Runs Through Bob, or maybe Sheesh! Cab, Bob?, because they're strong episodes that will likely get you hooked.
season 1 is good to start. sounds like a cliche i know. but you kinda need to know who and what the characters are to make more sense.
here's a funny YT shortie: this is a much later season

Gaetz, on the ropes, finds few friends in GOP
In four years on Capitol Hill, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) has experienced a meteoric rise to national prominence — one fueled by a close alliance with former President Trump, a penchant for political theatrics and a no-apologies brand of conservatism that’s made him a darling of the right-wing cable outlets.

Yet this week, facing a federal investigation into allegations of a sexual relationship with an underage girl, Gaetz is finding himself in an unusual spot: on the ropes and virtually alone.

Few of Gaetz’s GOP colleagues are coming to the defense of the third-term Floridian following a New York Times report that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating allegations of sexual misconduct with — and interstate trafficking of — a minor roughly two years ago. And a number of Republicans, while warning against jumping to premature conclusions about Gaetz’s conduct, also suggested they wouldn’t miss him if he were gone.

“I don’t know anything about this situation other than to say he has certainly made enemies and painted a bull's-eye on his back,” said one Republican lawmaker, who requested anonymity to speak freely on a sensitive topic. “This appears to be a self-inflicted wound.”

Notice all the lawyers are keeping their distance, neither of these two assholes are lawyers. Where is Ted Cruz? He's a pretty sharp Ivey league trained lawyer. It seems William Barr was keeping his public distance too, this only broke when Gaetzs's buddy was indicted and I wonder if there was any delay in that case? Gaetz appeared in full panic mode on Fox with Tucker and said he was gonna quit politics to work for Newsmax. I think Matt is more like Donald than a lot of people realize, birds of a feather, same for his buddy who got busted and his buddy is a fellow psycho looking to cut a deal.

This is going to be the best Ceasar episode ever.
?
I can think of several historical analogues , but this guy ain't no Caesar, more like another Donald, only with a bit more brains. Same silver spoon in his pie hole and the same sense of entitlement, it appears entitlement runs deep in republicans, from Donald to his base of morons who stormed the capital.

Tucker will always be the dickhead in a bowtie as far as I'm concerned...but that was funny as hell and tucks does have a hilarious perplexed face.
