Haven't see $80 oz but $100 is common now. Some of the stuff being flogged for $600/lb here is pretty nice. Also funny now BC gov owned stores are breaking their own rules and opening by schools lol.

The problem the stores have is you're selling low profit margin products as small amounts. you'll need huge daily traffic to make profit. Most of the pleces here are in high visibility retail locations so can't see their lease not being 7-10K per month. Add in two employees $5K before taxes, your own salary say $5K before taxes and not including any partners so you need $20K min per month. With 100 customers per day buying 2 grams and say $2 profit per gram average would be $4 profit per customer so $400 profit per day or $12K per month. So you'd need 200+ customer buying more than 2 grams per day and you probably just spend $200-400K to set this up lol. I know someone who set one up and I think it cost her around $300K to get it set up, this could be with stock included. Add in 2,3,5+ more stores per city and you're fighting for legal scraps.

I see the new store owners coming in all newbie and gleeful - like, were sellin' weed! ya were dealers, we'll be rich. People who had nothing to do with it thinking the town will empty their pockets and spend their rent money on it. Really... they find out it's like aqua said by the time you pay your expenses you're just jerkin off the dog to feed the cat.

I've been getting increasingly desperate marketing emails from my LP.

"We notice you haven't made a purchase yet, can we help you get started?"
"Sale prices extended"

I just fill out the papers to get signed-up with whatever LP's the clinic that writes my prescription recommends, knowing I'll never use them.

Given my consumption and the amount I give away, I'm likely removing at least $1000 every month from the marketplace with my personal garden.

These stores will be sorry they ever tried this after ....uumm...say 2.5 years. Over saturated market with nothing but the same old same old.
Expenses sucking the life outta the place slowly. hehehe
I wonder what sort of pricing leah way they have. My guess would be they can sell for whatever they like. They would probably all pay the same wholesale wise. Possible quantity discounts for larger buys....dunno. I've never heard a word of the wholesale structure. I'm sure the list must be the same for all stores to pick from. Each store determining what they feel will sell.
But what about the stales and non sellers....stuck with them?? Or sell off at a loss?? Return the non sellers for credit.......DOUBT IT. They buy it they own it. Dead stock is an issue in retail...not funny to the stores.....just to me.....lol
Anyway BOYCOTT these shit holes at all costs. Break them !!!
I've never been in one as I know it will go bad.....me getting the boot....cops maybe...I stay away.
I've never been on any legal site either.......why give them false hope with site traffic numbers.

What I don't understand about these stores is that you are limited to an ounce to buy. If I go to the LCBO I can buy as much as I want. It doesn't make any sense. Not that I would buy from the poison schwag retailers but it just never made any sense to me. I know it is related to the 30g possession amount that also makes no sense.

Your right...You couldn't legally transport more than an ounce home from the hypocrit stores.
The stores must love and hate this. It keeps people coming back more often but then in between they can also go elsewhere. So you could lose them to a competitor or the BM....ya.
Everything about these places is so wrong to me. If they were giving it away I still wouldn't go or accept any. I've got my principles and pride. I don't lick the boots to the bully/law who has turn coated to a new plan of greed and riches.
I won't forget their past sins against decent people.
