Dehumidifier? Worth it?

how many plants?
It would be easier to control the bedroom climate and have the plants in a tent. Pulling large amounts of fresh air through defeats room conditioning.
Run some co2 bags to offset your room being mostly sealed.
That comment about the carbon monoxide and air leaks is no joke.

I mean you could close the bedroom door, run a window a/c unit and a dehumidifier, little heater if you needed. Keep the room where you want your tent and run that carbon filter setup on the tent exhaust. Leave one of the bottom flaps on the tent open, keep the air moving through the tent, not the room.

Understand completely what you mean.

In regards to the carbon monoxide backdraft, does this only apply if I have gas appliances ?(which I dont)

during the dark cycle you don't need to vent
turn off the exaust and put a good dehumidifier inside the room, it will keep the rh stable everyday

Really? I don't understand how not venting for 12hrs can help at all? I understand using a dehumidifer at the same time can be useful but just sounds crazy! Will look into it! Definitely going to upgrade extractor fan asap though. Cheers

you dont want to vent when you use your dehumidifier
its a total waste of energy

during night just turn off the exhaust, and run your dehu playing with the hygrostat depending of the RH you aim

without the dehu, you need to vent the humidity released from the plants. but you're dependant on the climate outside

Thanks dude, I'll look at dehus today too, I suppose it's better to at least control humidity during lights off than being reliant out outside humidity 24/7

no the smell stay inside of the room
if you're really worried you can put a scrubber with a carbon filter inside your room to filter the air during night time

Yes, carbon monoxide would be coming from combusted gas, fuel oil, or propane. If you put a vacuum on your house though, you will pull crap from every leaky spot in the joint. Every light fixture, outlet ect...

Conversely, for your comfort and utility bills you could pressure up your house and take a can of smoke and go find and seal the leaks you can find. Great way to find out your windows are leaky as hell. I saw the fire alarm company using the smoke cans one time and the guy told me about it.

The body of my dehumidifier is kept outside the flowering room and it blows dry air from a vent that i cut in the side. Smell will leak back once you shut off the exhaust
