Torn on LEDs

New to LEDs, this will be my second grow. First went wonderfully. and need to pick up one or two lights. I’ve done SOME research and have a decent grasp on the terminology etc

48x48x72 grow tent
Plan to grow 6 Autos and keep them short and even (LST)

Im all confused and torn on how the spread will be with these lights. Like if they autos are relatively small in size and I can push them all together in the middle of the tent, then do I still need the larger amount of watts to cover 16sqft? Or am o just measuring out how much space my 6 plants are taking up?

my budget is 500 or under (which is high for me) I wanted like 300 or under. Was looking at the spider farms, the sonofarm, and some random others.
Any help with setup suggestions would be awesome. Usually I’m very into my research but I just had a kid and time is very limited for reading and YouTube

cheers y’all

I was in the same position as you a couple months ago. I went with the spider farmer sf2000 and have been really happy. I've used it in a 3x3 and 4x2 and had a great coverage/spread for all my plants, even the ones on the edges. Your tent is significantly bigger than though, but if you keep the light high it should reach every corner of a 4x4 though the wattage might be bit low for your space and optimal growth.

Yeah exactly I know the Samsung diodes are suppose to be great but I need to see if people are reporting on the sono ones or what they use. And awesome man link it up!!

That's my little setupIMG_20210405_151618827_HDR.jpg using 3 Groplanner 100Watt leds. Connects to wifi. They are pretty sweet. Id like the option of mounting the driver outside the tent tho
(the sono can) to help regulate temperature

I would continue using the lights from the first grow as it went well.

After shipping, etc should be right around your budget. No worries about bright/hot spots with this style light. You can grow the plant right up to the lights - even between the bars. As long as the plant doesn't touch the lights/bars, you'll be fine.

I’ve always tried to avoid hanging multiple lights close to each other since I’ve heard the overlap can cause high intensity that will burn a plant or at least create inconsistent growth. I’ve done two full grows with LEDs so far so I’m not totally sure, would love to know your experience with then overlapping.

Might be going with the Sono 4000 because of the warranty. The SF is 50 more watts but this is also cheaper and “on sale”. Can you mount the drivers outside the tent on this one? Doesn’t look like you can ‍♂
400watts/16sqft = 25 watts per sqft. I believe they say it should be 35ish. Will this light ha dlsr 4-6 autos? I feel like it will ‍♂

So far so good. I can do a couple different combinations. I just read what my plants want

That's badass. If you have a PayPal. You can do a Pay in 4 where you make the initial payment and have 3 other payments everyother week. They make it so affordable now a days

Don't trust the specs you see on amazon or alibaba, misleading advertising and outright lies are more than common. As for many of the warranties, good luck!
People here have had good luck with meijiu and king bright on alibaba.
