How long auto blooms?

How long can you expect an autoflower to be in blooming stage? I see just started the flowering stage (started growing pistols in budding sites). Is she gonna flower for 3-4 weeks? Is that normal?. I know all autos are different, but I need to condense a 12 week feed chart into however long this plant decides to flower. I'm guessing 3-4 weeks is that a good estimate?

A lot of factors go into that. Every plant is different. Life is much easier when you just run 1 line of nutes and nothing else the entire grow. No boosters no nuttin.

If i could grow from clones I would start to dabble in tweaking my basic jacks 321 recipe.

This is the growth I have seen from my fastbuds strawberry pie auto.

This was March 9

Then on April 5th

Still got a week or so more to go.

I have 2 plants. The other one with all the same conditions has 3-5 weeks left.

Seed were put in towel jan 20.

So one of my autos will finish with about 8 weeks of flower time, 3 months total.

The other will have 12 weeks flower time, 4 months total.

So that's looking like 5 weeks of bloom. I'm using the gh flora series, all 3, but the damn feed chart reads 12 weeks of bloom. I'd like to at least make a early, mid, late, and flush. Are there any signs I can look for when to change the nutes from early to mid to late

Define change the nutes? As in more or less?

Just feed what the plants want. If they look good and green dont change it up. As they grow feed a lil more.

Then when they are getting ripe you feed less and less. Then just plain water a little at the end.

You sure it doesn't read 12 weeks total with 9 weeks of bloom? Why do you want to shorten the schedule if you don't even know how long your plant will bloom for? Can you post a pic of the schedule?

She's supposed to seed to harvest in 56 days, I know the the fastest time, but 56 days in next week and she ain't near ready. I just don't want to be feeding her early bloom nutes of she's mid or late bloom and I just don't know when these phases change

One of these days we will need to find out what drugs the breeders consume before saying a plant will take 56 days seed to harvest. Cause it ain't weed and I want some.

Maybe there is a pheno of the strain that will do it in 56 days.

You probably have 2 months to go.

Makes more sense 56 days seed to bloom. Don't know why they say harvest. But I'm surprised it'll be 8 weeks of bloom but I'm happy that will at least curb my anxiety about feeding

I would say at least a full 8 weeks from Start of BLOOM...
When companies give you those “8week” charts or tell you “Flowers in 8 weeks” I think this is usually what they mean?
What strain? I’m new to autos but have a couple Banana Kush, at just about 8 weeks since pistils popped up.
Here, but nevermind the heavy defoliation on one- testing it out, and still giving at least 3 weeks on my bushier one, which will put it into ~10 weeks of flower. The heavy defol. one will probably come down in a week or two.

People will tell you the optimum advice of look at the trichome color on the buds.

One more question. I'm familiar with watching trichomes for color change and when to harvest, BUT, what sign says "start flushing now?"
Shhh. Dont use the flush word. People hate that word.

Just feed less and less as they ripen up. The last little but just use plain water.

Don't poor gallons of water on your plant. If that is what you consider flushing.

Just stop feeding at the end.

The cure is what is most important to get good smooth smoke. You can feed till the day you cut it down and it will not change the final smoke if the cure is correct.

Ok I see. I thought flushing (no nute just water) was necessary. I just have no idea how to look at her and say "yup, one more week"

Haha! I'm sure I'll be all over this forum in a couple months asking about drying and curing to make sure I'm doing it right

So you think she will bloom for 8 weeks?
It will take at least 56 days to bloom. In my experience you have to add 3-4 weeks (veg time+stretch) to time given by breeder.
I grew some phenos that finish in 8 weeks (seed to harvest). But other plants from same batch of seeds grew 12-13 weeks seed to harvest.

Water with no nutes given to the plant at normal amounts is not flushing as far as I'm concerned. That is just normal.

Takes a little experience to get down perfect. Dont stress to much about getting that perfect. Do stress about getting the cure perfect tho.
