That's one thing I'm completely unsure of, even in my current grow at 5 weeks. I'm using the same Scott's seeding mix and Canna terra Vega/Cannazym right now. With tap water, Vega and Cannazym added, the water tests at 6.6ph, but I have no idea what the soil is at, or the waters ec is. Basic runoff tests at 6.1, but I haven't done any slurry tests, and I don't have a soil pH kit. I've just been winging it.

Both grows will be using the same medium, pot size, watering technique and strain, but one has far less light and no nutes in the water.

Here's the current grow at day 35. Same medium, same strain.

Mate ive grown plants with just water on a window sill Aslong as you water and have good genetics they truck along fine.
I think people forget that tap water usually has added calcium, magnesium, potassium and small amounts of naturally occuring iron and phosphorus, amongst other things.

As long as you let it gass off overnight, it isn't as bad as most think.

Use a real inert medium and feed it tap water and see what happens
No one is saying that you can just feed any plant tap water and it will be a monster. You need to stop taking every statement as an absolute. Noone is saying that there is no nutrients at all either. It will be intersting to see how far cheap prefert soil can get. We aren't saying that we are growing our plants on thin air and water.

You have no idea how much I needed that lol. I actually wondered if people would mention my grub ass toes. I should have drawn a dick on my big toenail with a sharpie.
I have similar toes. It's really how they're accentuated by being in the frame without any foot. I looks like you're a mythological beast about to violate that poor plant. The towel on the floor doesn't help. ha.

Purpleberrykush is trolling you.

Tap water doesn't have "added" anything. Some peoples tap water has calcium and magnesium. Doesn't have relevant levels of any of the other things you mentioned (especially Nitrogen). If you don't grow a plant in soil, you need to feed it nutrients. Just trying to prevent misinformation being spread here.
