Is it okay to make a mother out of a feminized seeds clone? Does this affect the genetics?
Great question, I'm watching. Is it okay to make a mother out of a feminized seeds clone? Does this affect the genetics?
Why are people not always using fem seeds then when pheno hunt for a good mother?Yes you can. That's how many cuts have been kept going for years.
Cheaper? Why would the clone be any different than the mother? Why are people not always using fem seeds then when pheno hunt for a good mother?
Thanks, just curious I'm very newCheaper? Why would the clone be any different than the mother?

Does this mean a clone of a clone is ok?
I guess I really need to read up on the process of fem and for now I'll just make a mom. For some reason I thought a fem seed was genetically modified. Thanks everyone for your comments. You can make a mother out of a male if you like.
I prefer reg seeds due to the inherent random genes that are suppressed by chemical feminization. Those beans are almost copies of each other. And regulars will confuse you as to the variations. LOL.
Clone from reg mom. Hundreds of offspring. And just the initial investment of a gamble while watering.I guess I really need to read up on the process of fem and for now I'll just make a mom. For some reason I thought a fem seed was genetically modified. Thanks everyone for your comments.
None.Nice and you don't see any issues with deficiencies?
You just stated the plan. Commit and it is there. LOL. Easier than you may think. Just another plant.I know I can clone pretty much anything and make it grow but I really want the best product that can make!
Thanks again for your input killaki! Just did a little bit of reading on leafy seems to support your info https://www.leafly.com/news/science-tech/does-cloning-ruin-cannabis-strains#:~:text=Some think it's the phenomenon, susceptible to pests and fungi.None.
half of it is the fun of growing, 10 regular seeds are much cheaper and you can find a keeper in one of those packs. Why are people not always using fem seeds then when pheno hunt for a good mother?
No different. You keep a clean grow and there are no issues. As well as a sanitary cloning procedure. Where most introduce pathogens. Thanks again for your input killaki! Random side note since you mention it, feminized seeds are when you breed two females together to get seeds instead of a female and male. You can choose one of the two girls to play the part of the dude by spraying her with a chemical that will keep her female hormones from developing and allowing for male pollen sacs to form instead. It's a simplification of the process and doesn't scratch the surface of debate people have over the genetic quirks and competing theories about what that may or may not be present in the genetics (hermies as an example) as a result of feminizing seeds, but maybe helps explain a bit.I guess I really need to read up on the process of fem and for now I'll just make a mom.
