Ok, so which do u recommend ...sorry I'm new to this. I helped my dad with a few germination here an there but never done the whole process all the way through. So I'm trying to make sure I do it right.you can look for grow lights or metal halide lights.
with the grow lights search you will get grow light packages
if you just search metal halide, you will get a mixture of lighting from showroom lights ,industrial light fittings to grow lights
Ok, so I do have a grow room I plan on using. I'm still putting together the area I'll be using. But it's a good size space. A whole bedroom actually. My plants still a seedling at the moment. An I grabbed a couple grow lights from Ace Hardware. I do have some led's coming in the mail soon. I read somewhere, that MH lights are better for the beginning stage though, so I wanted to test that theory well its all down to space , what size grow are you planning? are you getting a tent or have you a dedicated room to grow in. any info you can give will help narrow down the options available to you
a 400 watt hps for flower in a 4 by 4 is perfect but you can get a 600 watt dual bulb for the same price dont mess with anything less than 400 watts its a waste of moneyleds are very good for seedlings and initial growth, with one seedling i go with a 70watt to a 150 watt to a 250 watt mh and a 400watt. a 400 watt is a good strarting light for a 4 x 4 space.
whaty leds do you have coming?
Sorry had to ask my wife, I asked her to order me the 600 or 900 watts, she hasn't answered me yet. She's at work rna 400 watt hps for flower in a 4 by 4 is perfect but you can get a 600 watt dual bulb for the same price dont mess with anything less than 400 watts its a waste of money
i dissagree, ive had great results with my 250watt metal halide.a 400 watt hps for flower in a 4 by 4 is perfect but you can get a 600 watt dual bulb for the same price dont mess with anything less than 400 watts its a waste of money
we can take a simple poll and see you may be rightthe more light the better
i dissagree, ive had great results with my 250watt metal halide.
do you use the 250 mh all the way through flower? show some proof then i will believe i take it you have pics?the more light the better
i dissagree, ive had great results with my 250watt metal halide.
i should mention thayt ivr only had northan lights from sensi seeds under it. ive yet to try my hindu kush or black domina under it. but northan lights respond well to any lightwe can take a simple poll and see you may be right
i wondered why all the growers are useing the 315, thanx i never knew thatYou want ceramic metal halide, not standard metal halide. Standard metal halide will work, but you get less light from a 400w MH than you do from a 315w CMH.
You're looking at around 33k lumens from a 315w cmh vs around 24k lumens from a 400w mh lamp. Main reason is the low frequency square wave used in 315w cmh ballasts makes the lamp much more efficient, compared to the standard 60hz AC sine wave in mh and hps ballasts. Also chm arguably has the best spectrum.i wondered why all the growers are useing the 315, thanx i never knew that
Ok so go with a 315 chm then? You're looking at around 33k lumens from a 315w cmh vs around 24k lumens from a 400w mh lamp.
