Notill Vs soiless?

So I’ve ran organic before, but never true notill. My intentions were to run a notill cycle after my coco coir cycle is finished, already have some stuff bought for notill.

Well coco was so easy and cheap, I’ve been debating on going that route. I really like the notill environment, plus bugs and worms are my friends... my buddy was telling me coco will grow faster then notill, which I am unsure about that.

What do you guys think? Notill is a lot AT FIRST, I feel like there’s more room for error, AT FIRST. Thoughts?

I feel you. I'm finishing up a mineral salts/coco run right now, probably will start harvesting tomorrow. Also have 15 cubic feet of Cootz mix sitting in a tarp in my front yard. Not going to lie, it's pricey to get started, unless you live in a big town and can source most everything locally, then it's not too bad. Yields are probably going to be quite close, I've seen some very productive no till organic grows. Here is one of my favorite No-Till grows, just beautiful https://www.icmag.com/forum/marijuana-growing/indoor-grows-soil/376080-notill-scrog-living-soil-organic. And of course, here is one of the great no till threads with lots of Cootz and Mofo wisdom https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/no-till-gardening-revisited.1400505/. I like both ways of doing things, they each have their pros and cons. I'm doing it now mostly just for a fun change, but since I'll have a lot of bud on hand from my current run, I'd like to compare and see if the quality is any different. Good luck to you!

No till is great, organic is great on any level. I prefer it over any hydro method I’ve done them all. Theres little benefit to hydro and more cons. Get you some good cover crop and rock it. Be sure though to go into a big enough container. My minimum if I were to do no till again would be 25 gal but 15‘s will work. remember the bigger the container the better with no till.

If I went notill I wanted to do a 4x4 bed at least, no pots... I’ve read some people saying a bed can be harder to maintain and others say the opposite.

My plan was to get a 5x5 grassroots raised bed, a quality LED, BuildASoils coots mix along with other stuff from them, cover crop/worms and bodhi. Really isn’t much more too it. The bed comes with blumats too

Isnt dwc soilless?? I mean theres no medium at all
Technically, yes. DWC is "soilless" in its truest form. DWC typically has hydroton aeroponics are the ones with 0 medium. Then, tbh, there are adaptations like mine. But, I don't want to pirate the Op's thread, DM me and I'll go into detail.

Dude I’m good I’ve ran rdwc, an dwc. Nft, ebb and flow I’m good with all of it. The only hydro I do anymore is my aerocloners. No benefit doing hydro IMO.

Ive done plenty of coco and rdwc,im now first time in organic SIP.Veg growth is similar to rdwc.So far bud growth is much better then coco and on par with rdwc.I think one benefit is the organic buds dont shrink like hydro ones do.

What do you recommend when transplanting a clone from 4" pot,
straight into a no till 25 gal pot?
