I went this morning to check my grow tent, and found a baby possum sitting on top of my filter, this is in a room inside of my home that we don't use.
One dies so many can liveI was looking around the garden a couple years ago and found a baby possum next to the shed behind some corn. It was just looking at me so I walked away and left it alone. I went back later and it was gone.
My moms backyard pond got all cloudy and gross once. We dug around with a net used for skimming leaves and found a rotted dead possum. It was disgusting. Surprisingly the Koi were still alive. I put the fish into totes, drained the water, cleaned the liner, and refilled the pond. I was pissed that the possum had drowned in the pond and made me do all that work. At the time the pond was lined with rock that stuck out making it impossible for the possum to get out once it got in. I've since modified the sides to provide a way out if anything gets in. I actually feel bad for causing the possum to drown due to my initial design of the pond. It might be too late for that possum but at least now we have possum exits so it won't happen again.
I think they are infested with all kinds of mites that could potentially mess with my grow.Well... They do eat bugs and grubs... Maybe keep him for good luck and pest management?
